    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

Not sure I realized that this would add to the University Avenue sight line (maybe moreso on the East pedestrian path than West). This is really cool!

What a beauty. This + the new Ontario Court of Justice is a reminder that you don't need a deliberately wild design to produce an awesome building. Just use great materials + pay attention to the details.

Walked by this afternoon. The space where the East-facing TD nameplate will go is clearly set now. Wow, it's going to be a BIG TD logo...

    Toronto 55 Mercer | 155.5m | 47s | CentreCourt | Arcadis

It's still so wild to me that Mercer Street of all streets has become so dense. It's such a narrow, poorly lit side street. I'm hoping these developments will add some liveliness and street energy to it.

    Toronto U of T: Schwartz Reisman Innovation Centre (Phase 1) | 64.8m | 13s | U of T | Weiss/Manfredi

Can always count on the big banks and UofT to give us nice buildings in Toronto. Very excited by this.

Toronto Scotiabank North Tower at Bay Adelaide Centre | 140.2m | 32s | Brookfield | KPMB

Not sure if this has been discussed or confirmed until now – but Scotiabank's latest annual report (available on their website) declares Scotiabank North as their new global head office. They remain tenants in Scotia Plaza, but I suppose this new building is HQ now. "In downtown Toronto, we...

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

I might be in the minority, but I'm glad to see an electronic billboard added here. We don't have many in this city, outside of Dundas Square which is simultaneously too much but also not enough (to be its own proper landmark, like Picadilly/Times Square). Not that I want too many more of these...

    Toronto 15-17 Elm | 99m | 30s | Fora | PARTISANS

I love Partisans' work wherever I get the chance to encounter it (Vela, Bar Raval). This is a very cool project, and very much in their style.

Making sure you're never too far from seeing a TD logo whenever downtown... Of course, I love this project, but still hilarious

Toronto Scotiabank North Tower at Bay Adelaide Centre | 140.2m | 32s | Brookfield | KPMB

Shame how boring the Scotiabank wordmark is. Especially next to an equally boring Deloitte logo. Just relatively generic sans serif wordmarks passing for logos now (these staid corporates aren't the only offenders; luxury retail brands have gone the same direction).

    Toronto 15 Toronto Street | 205.93m | 53s | Madison Group | BDP Quadrangle

Handsome tower. Looks great. Love more varied proposals like this!

    Toronto Living Shangri-La Toronto | 214.57m | 66s | Westbank | James Cheng

Even just a hedge of bushes would be better, but of course I agree either way that we shouldn't have patios this closed off, period. That said, Boston Pizza's patio next to Rogers Centre is pretty closed off on the Blue Jays Way side.

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

I'm sure the next step is to wrap the logo in colour, but it actually looks great here in white.

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

Looking absolutely massive and beautiful, and also exposes the neighbouring RBC Centre for how boring of a design it is...

    Toronto Ace Hotel Toronto | 44.8m | 13s | Carbon Hospitality | Shim-Sutcliffe

Wow! Almost reminds me of the Met Breuer's (formerly Whitney Museum) restaurant space in New York. Underground, concrete-heavy: https://wwd.com/eye/lifestyle/gallery/flora-bar-and-cafe-opens-in-met-breuer-10660302/

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

I'm around this area quite a bit, and have to say, this building already has a huge imposing feel on the area. Bigger than photos can do justice. Very excited for this project. The bank towers deliver yet again.

    Toronto U of T: Schwartz Reisman Innovation Centre (Phase 1) | 64.8m | 13s | U of T | Weiss/Manfredi

I was just thinking this – not sure if intentional, or if I'm reading too much into it, but this almost feels like an homage to the big Queen's Park buildings along Bay and Wellesley just up the street (Mowat Block, etc). All in all, love it. Very unique new building going up.

    Toronto Toronto House | 186.53m | 58s | Westbank | Hariri Pontarini

Westbank is putting so many other developers to shame. Talk about overdelivering on your renderings!

Toronto AGO: Dani Reiss Modern and Contemporary Gallery | 48.35m | 6s | AGO | Diamond Schmitt

Really excited to read about this proposed expansion. The AGO has a really strong collection and we only ever see a small sliver of it (not unique to us, of course... true of every major museum in the world), and I find I often only go for the exhibitions because I've already seen so much of the...

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

I believe Union Park is slated to be connected to the PATH! But agreed, just extend the plans one block more and it's to The Well at that point.
