Great news!! My local contacts just informed me the crane is in the process of being installed right now.

I assume that's the base of the crane? You've mentioned A Potain Luffer MR405 crane twice now. Is there anything particularly special about it?

Curious...Look at where they poured the large pad and the layout of the building it doesn't seem to line up. If they put the crane there it would run through a bunch of units all the way to the top. Thoughts?

Went by the site on the weekend (alas without camera). There are now 2 large I beams connected to these 2 pads and look to be supporting the northern wall. There were also to large wooden frames directly below those beams. The amount of pit work is curious (and frustrating to see no crane)...

Last night I got the official letter stating the tentative occupancy date has been moved from March 15, 2012 to Nov 15, 2012.

Thanks for the pic update. So contractor shack gone. Is that good, bad, or just part of the process? I assume it means that the guys going down are packing up and the guys coming in to go up will drop off their own?

4 weeks since the last pic update...how does the hole look? It's been a solid 9 months since they started with the pile driver...is it just me or is it taking a really long time to dig?

There's supposed to be 5 levels of underground parking. That doesn't look deep enough yet.

Was by the site last night. I tried to take pics but it was too dark for them. The hole is progressing and fairly deep but by visual guestimations I'd say they have 1 more story to go down. Hopefully they get down and get the base of the crane done by the end of september.

I've been wondering the same thing. My guess, considering they have to go down 5 levels and it looks like they're around 3 down now, would be crane going up sometime late august early Septemeber. Then back to street level sometime early next year. My overall guess is this project is about 1 year...
