The tower this afternoon was shifting through an array of reflections second by second. The hues were changing from white to blue and green, from one minute to the next. The pic below shows a shot during one of the transitions. Next time it does this, I'll shoot some video. It's high level of...

Scotia Tower - discount window repair

I noticed a few days ago the workers were busy removing the cracked window panel. They haven't replaced the window yet, but atleast the ugly duct-tape covered panel isn't there anymore. It's now just black. I wonder if Urban Toronto's teasing about it last week had something to do with it?

Finally some movement on this one. Contrary to the signage, nobody will be moving in during 2010, however, the hydro line encasements were put up last week and today I noticed a refuse bin, porta potty and a couple workers on site.

Here's a close up shot of the window area: If anyone has a view of the southwest corner, please take some shots. They've lowered the scaffolding on the southside now. Would make for a great photo to see the west and south sides of the tower together.

Scotia Tower - discount window repair

For the last couple of months there's been this green thing stuck on one of the west side windows near the top of the Scotia Tower. Looking at it from a distance, I thought it looked somewhat like a vaccuum cleaner (maybe an Ad of some sorts, I had thought) Anyways, I took a zoom shot...

Thanks. I was really surprised at how nice it looked today with the reflections in the photo. One thing I should mention though, about 30 minutes after taking the picture, the glass switched to a very murky green tone.

Today's sun & cloud patterns provided some nice reflective texture to the new panels:

The hue fluctuates throughout the day, based on lighting conditions etc. Sometimes it's minty, other times it's white. Here's a photo taken weeks ago, where it's bright white, thanks to the direct sunlight.

Thanks for the heads up. I had made an error with the code I copied over. It should work fine now.
