What's the reason this isn't continuous with Eglinton LRT? Are they worried it would become too unweildy? Or do they think most people coming up here will be coming from B-D subway anyway, so it won't be a big deal?

What the heck? Don Mills is one of the widest streets in the entire city... there's huge grass areas on either side of this 6-laned colossus. That's more than you can say for Sheppard. Not only that, but neither Don Mills nor Sheppard need street parking unless they are also planning to demolish...

Looks like a really awesome plan. If they could turn the area into a sort of 'The Beach' west that would be awesome. I realize that Queen street is not so nearby, but with the inclusion of shops and retail perhaps that would be possible. I wonder if there is any space along lakeshore between it...

Actually in a strictly money sense, it costs far less for that 60 year old working person to die of a massive heart attack, then for the 85 year old previously physically healthy person who's been withdrawing from CPP and OAS for years, who gets dementia and slowly deteriorates over 5 years...

I'd gather a large amount of people who spend their days posting on a message board about buildings probably don't have kids :) (or have families and thus need to live in a house)

Well I still think that generally people aren't angry enough with the Conservatives to actually vote the Libs in as a majority. The point is, these are necessary improvements. The city has already committed to more bike lanes. The roads as they are currently also need major overhauls (lots of places in these suburban roads have to be dug up too for water mains), with the related expenses and disruption of traffic...
