Ground level on the west side of the site already. Nice to see they've installed sidewalk protection along the Main Street side of the site.

Lots of activity on site. Second crane and construction entrances. They had the sidewalk closed off but it looks like there's walkway protection being built so hopefully temporary.

Current state of the Burloak grade separation. This is west of Burloak but both sides are at the same stage. I'm guessing the upcoming weekend closures will really move this forward?

This stretch of Caroline already has a different feel to it.

They would have horrible visibility as commercial units the way they're recessed. It's better than what was there, but it's not contributing to the street much.

Definitely an improvement! Lost the north/south mid-block street but it's not a very wide block anyway. The "save our park" crowd should be happy.

West Harbour construction pretty quiet today (April 22):

Lakeshore West grade separation at Burloak is moving at a good pace. They have the (temporary?) track bed laid on the east side. Feels like the trains run quite slow through this section, but maybe they always have and I've never paid attention? Sorry, no photos.

You captured the anger I think we all feel so well. The original Eaton Centre was classic 80s/90s hubris, and every attempt to 'fix' it has been so half-assed and bound to fail. I'd prefer they demolish it all, rebuild the street grid as much as possible, and develop individual parcels instead...
