Yeah, I'd have to agree there's a real "generation gap" at play, now, but I don't see how it's any different than a generation or two ago. I do completely agree it will be interesting to see what comes forth in another generation.

    St Lawrence Market

Yeah, there's a historical plaque on it, too.

Costco (42-46 Overlea Boulevard) Demolition of Heritage Building, Former Coca-Cola HQ

OT, but once we went to the Costco near Wilson station - we had backpacks to bring home our stuff - they wouldn't let us in the doors with the packs. When we explained that we were on foot, they really didn't know how to handle us.

Costco (42-46 Overlea Boulevard) Demolition of Heritage Building, Former Coca-Cola HQ

Thanks for sharing, but man, that was tough to read! They really need to learn how to use paragraphs.

I actually quite like my condensing washer-dryer.

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

While I agree this is taking a long time, for you to make a claim of "incompetence and inefficiency" is irresponsible, if not libellous. That is, unless you have some inside information? If so, out with it!

    Evocative Images of Lost Toronto

I wonder of those folks abutting what was then a field had any idea that space would be taken up by Canada's busiest highway, probably within their lifetimes.

Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

It also sounds like Ontarians' propensity to underpay for hydro has a long history here.

Odd - I guess this is a temporary move until their new co-hab location with Honda is complete.

Toronto Scotiabank North Tower at Bay Adelaide Centre | 140.2m | 32s | Brookfield | KPMB

Yes, they had to do the same in the dentail office - they've had to shut down part of their office since construction started. They also completely shut down the printing shop, the luggage store, and the accessories store.

Toronto Scotiabank North Tower at Bay Adelaide Centre | 140.2m | 32s | Brookfield | KPMB

I'm quite sure they have a plan for a potential north tower, however as we all know, plans are subject to change. My suspicion that when/if the tower proceeds, there will be major disruption to the food court including closing some of the vendors and potentially even parking lot disruption...

Interesting - on the ground level or on the concourse?

I was told that the Volvo relocated because they had lack of parking at this location, though take that with a grain of salt.

    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

Not exactly - the whole point of Rouge is to fly planes at less cost to AC - this is by offering a slimmer service with lower paid crew, mostly. The aim is to target routes that don't have much business travel - this is why you now see some mainline service switched from AC to Rouge, i.e...

    Toronto Yonge Eglinton Centre | ?m | 37s | RioCan | P + S / IBI

Wait, what? I had no idea - I moved to the city in 2000 and it was gone. I assume Indigo is the former space?

    Corktown

A Waterfront Toronto newsletter issued yesterday identifies it as a medical clinic and pharmacy. Apparently there's a signage permit filed for "Health Shields Pharmacy". I was hoping for a more substantial Shoppers or Rexall, but judging by the split of space between the clinic and pharmacy...
