    One32 Berkeley (Concert, 10s, P+S/IBI)

Are the folks behind the Onyx the same as those behind One32 Berkeley?

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I know for a fact that certain divisions of the TTC take responding to customer complaints very seriously in cases where the customer has requested a response, for example service planning. The operating divisions are not one of those, as you're experiencing.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

It is odd - I went down there on Saturday - the McD's was going gang-busters and the Starbucks was closed. I also noted that the Starbucks location is pretty unfortunate - in a very quiet area on the far west side. Perhaps it will seem less out-of-the-way once the retail concourse opens and...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

So with the old streetcars, whenever, say, a 510 is entering service from Connaught via Queen or King, the cars are still signed as 510 and and will pick up passengers along Queen or King. With the new cars, I've noticed that they're almost always signed "TRAINING CAR" and will not pick up...

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

I can barely get through that release - it's inducing too many eye-rolls for me to focus on reading it.

There's also the ridiculousness that city council is pursuing purchasing a plot of land on Broadview north of Danforth in order to provide MORE parking. There's some shady deals happening here somewhere. Anybody care to make an FOI request for councillor emails...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Ok, I think I got my wires crossed on two posts - I thought that water and wildlife comment was directed at the Oshawa GO station work. This makes much more sense now.

    Toronto Theatre Park | 156.96m | 47s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Many newer condos now have a provision in their docs that require a director to be an owner of a unit. It does sound fishy what is described. I'd be curious to hear what develops.

Agreed - I think a big challenge on the west end of the Danforth would be assembling those property parcels large enough for development. An aside, I still don't understand why the City has a green P lot fronting Danforth at Playter. That said, I agree it's inevitable - the area is definitely...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I'm feeling really stupid right now - I can't figure out what water or wildlife consideration exists here... Can you elaborate on that?

I definitely agree, but how would you propose accomplishing that?

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Some drivers still feel they have to be fare police, which can lead to some interesting encounters. This will improve with time.

    Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

They're finally wrapping up construction of the PATH connection between the ACC and WPP - half of it on the south end is now open, and it looks like the rest will be done soon. I noticed there are signs for two weekend closures so I assume that's what it's for.

So what's the plan once paper transfers go away?

    Toronto Bay Adelaide Centre | 217.92m | 51s | Brookfield | KPMB

I don't believe so - the bottoms of the shafts go down that far, but you still have to go up to the lobby to get to the elevators. Except for the parking elevators - those stop at both the ground floor and concourse levels.

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

I don't think that's the issue - the JPs are in a sequestered private office space, with a private elevator to and from courtrooms, which have private corridors to enter and exit from the rear.

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

Reviewing the plans - it's interesting that even in 2016 every single JP would receive their own private washroom. I thought these were Mad Men era vestiges.

Toronto home: Power and Adelaide | 78.33m | 22s | Great Gulf | Core Architects

Still not sure about the one hulking mass, but this will do wonders for the street presence along Parliament, with the right tenants - it's a lot of retail space - about 60,000 sf, and almost all of it could, conceivably go to one tenant. Looking at the plans, that parking ramp seems extremely...

    St Lawrence Market

Not sure how that's any different than the previous arrangement - just west instead of east. They need the two Sbux there - one for people who live in the area (Front) and the other for the hordes of GB students (King).

    Leslieville / Studio District

Sorry, just getting caught up on the old BK location turning into a Starbucks - I suspected it could be a Sbux - the shape it was taking matched their newer suburban standard. Plus the location across the street was clearly not getting the traffic they wanted. Disappointing it will have a...
