Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I think the point is to have NE Scarborough routes terminate at Sheppard/McCowan. Having them lengthened to Kennedy/Sheppard could create a similar situation as to what we have on Yonge (between Finch and Steeles) currently.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

It is artificial when the road was/is designed for higher speed limit. If it's for safety then lower it to 30km/h, but we know that would not fly because each road has their specific role (laneway, local, arterial, limited access).

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

There is a (former rail?) ROW connecting Progress/Sheppard to Malvern. https://maps.app.goo.gl/AJP6XJp96T7hczkF8

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

If the speed limit was 50km/h, then you would be 5km/h over. The city artificially lowered the speed limit when the road is designed for 50+km/h speed.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Everyone wait on the sides. The blue markings are likely for doors next to the accessible spaces on the train. You can see the other black markings further down the platform in the photo.

Could there be battery packs and regenerative charging from braking? That's what I think when I see "hybrid".

    GTHA Transit Fare Integration

The way I see it, from your first set of trips, the tap (on) at GO was at 6:54pm. The new transfer expiration time would therefore be 9:54pm. Your last leg of TTC just missed it by 9min. You almost made it. ;) For your second set of trips, the transfer expiration time should be 9:36pm.

I believe you only get a renew on the transfer (3 hours) if you tap on at GO.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

There is another way of interpreting this. The express service sort of mirrors the proposed subway extension - stopping pattern. Express service getting the articulated buses means there is more demand for limited stops service along the corridor. Part of the argument for LRT tech. along this...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Or perhaps many places around the world would have the trains fly over or under intersections, if the roads they are on have a similar role as Eglinton has been assigned to be.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

That and the Pearson-Richmond Hill Centre route actually could use an additional trip between the 12am and 2am trips. A lot of flights arrive around the midnight hours. Passengers coming from those flights very likely would just miss the 12am trip and have to wait nearly 2 hours for the next...

That site is being filled in. Concord Park Place: Block 7 | 101.6m | 29s | Concord Adex | DIALOG However, there will be a mid-block street between the two sites. Technically, this site, Block 9, is east of Ethennonnhawahstihnen', west of Billes Heights, south of unnamed future street.

Looks like 1181 Sheppard East is east of 1125? Interesting plan visualizing potential future developments. (Block Context Plan, Page 17)

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

re. bolded part. The may just add 10min with the double transfers. The ridership between Langstaff and Leslie/Oriole will be so low they might as well truncate the line at Langstaff. How feasible would it be to run two branches of the Ontario Line past Lawrence - one towards Senaca College...

Hope they take into consideration both quantatative and qualitative properties when coming up with the proposals. Keep them simple - nouns/adjectives vs. phrases

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Except even with option 1, you may still get the pay-as-you-go health service down the road from a different government. Infrastructures such as rapid transit lines are difficult/costly to tweak once they are built. We already have plenty of examples of that.

It means keeping moving. Common sense when they expect mass of people using the route during events.

    GTHA Transit Fare Integration

You completed the entrie trip on a $3.70 base fare, and nearly maxed out the possible 5 hours (2 hr local + 3 hrs GO) transfer. You win. 😆
