Is this going to be concrete or steel? There may be no parking underground, however there is still going to be a pretty big hole, I would guess the foundations on such a tall building to require a certain depth. Paul

They were putting steel on the Bay side tonight, just wished I had my camera, those trucks hauling the steel are fricking huge. Paul

^^ I was thinking that too. The steel, once it start to rise will be going really quick. But the concrete at RBC takes a lot of time between each cycle. I wonder what the height difference is right now between the two projects? Paul

What I really like about this steel is it gives you a great idea about proportions of the building. We can start to get a feel for the foot-print this tower is going to have. Paul

I was not even by the open gate,I was just taking a picture through a crack in the fence. They put this weird green tarp around the fences, like they really don't want people to see what they are doing. Anyway, next time I am going to take as many as I want, as long as I am not standing...

This is the only one I could take, a construction worker advised me not to take pictures of his crew, pretty retarded, but I was not going to argue, it might make them even slower.

So the put the signs that I saw them bring to the building last Sunday, what they did last sunday, they stored all the signs on the roof and the yesterday it seems they installed them, kinda strange but it looks pretty good so far. I don't have the time to go take pics today. Paul

This morning around 9 am I walked past metropolis on the way to work and all along victoria street there were backlit bill boards on the back of trailers. They also had two cranes on-site. I come back around 4pm and there nothing and no new signs. what the hell did they do? Anyon know?

I am starting to think steel too, They are not using pre-fab forms for the floors, they are making them all custom. So I am guessing that that it will be steel from ground up.

Still no hoarding s of yesteday, but they seem to be really busy :rolleyes:

If you look at the diagram at the bottom of page 138 of this thread you will see the latest brackets they were putting up last night and today are for that huge backlit, "H", should be impressive to see that one go up, its gunna take away alot of the grey look of the building. They might try...

Around seven this evening they had some construction workers up on one of the platforms preparing some brackets. East of the Trivision.Hopefully you get another sign soon. Paul
