    Toronto 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

Part of my beef is that I find this stretch of Bremner to be miserable. I like the trees, but hate the built form. I just find it depressing. I am sure my perspective will change with CIBC and the HUB.

    Toronto 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

Sounds like we have a different POV. I'm at Commerce Court and find the bike and shower facilities to be first class with no cost admittance and free towel service (Although, I will say the secure bike room gets crowded in the summer). In terms of navigating the PATH to get to better retailers...

    Toronto 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

I would agree with 2. But now that space is freeing up in the Financial District, some firms are choosing to relocate and consolidate space there. I am also hearing that owners are now allowing major structural modifications to allow for open spaces / grand stair install in the older office...

    Toronto 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

A lot of the buildings in the Financial District have been certified LEED (not New Build, but O&M, C&S). They also having secure bike parking and shower facilities. In my view the amenities are (way) better in the Financial District (better architecture, lobbies, elevator allocation, shopping...

I am not sure what the attraction of the Southcore properties is vs the Financial District. The Financial District towers to me remain a more premium product in all aspects (architecture, height, amenities, finishes). Do we expect this trend to last?

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Especially when, during rush hour, cars take the York/Bay exit and make the right turn to Yonge, cutting off the cars waiting on the Yonge off-ramp. ^if that makes any sense.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

And McCowan Station and Scarb Centre Station are effectively in the same spot. STC serves transit connections and the mall, while McCowan was an expensive PPUDO.

Toronto Toronto Zoo Community Conservation Campus | 13.5m | 2s | Toronto Zoo | Zeidler

I actually like the current zoo's location. The grounds are situated within the Rouge River conservation area which are gorgeous! However, I will admit it's far from the central part of the city. This MasterPlan seems quite ambitious! Let's see what happens.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Just the nature of the RFP. Original RFP close was supposed to be July 2018. The RFP process just needs to run its course (bidder queries, commercial meetings, design meetings, etc.). I have not factored any political interference which could delay/cancel the project. The highest risk of...

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Sorry meant December 2018 (definitely not November). It will likely get pushed once more. I suspect it will be Spring/Summer 2019 before construction starts.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The RFP is still open on this project. This is an IO AFP project and not run by Metrolinx Procurement. RFP Close is currently targeted for December 2019.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

    Well thought-out and written! Deserves a shout-out!

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I would also add that Ellesmere too is a limited use stop in the current system. And that McCowan and STC basically serve the same catchment area (with Midland, served by the 57 Midland bus, in relative short proximity to STC as well). Lawrence East will be addressed by Smart Track. So the...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

@Hopkins23, Agreed! There are many benefits to the subway. Unfortunately, you have the Toronto Star constantly badgering it. There has got to be an article on this every month and always with altruistic pretensions! If they would focus the same energy on the Relief Line, maybe there could have...

    Mississauga Pearson Transit Hub | ?m | ?s | GTAA

It seems there is massive change planned for Pearson, but the details seem to be intentionally left grey. The Masterplan really doesn't give you much. That said, it looks like YUL is not wasting any time on seizing on its recent growth surge -they are announcing a multi-year, multi-billion...

Toronto Michael Garron Hospital, Toronto East Health Network | ?m | 8s | Infrastructure Ontar | Diamond Schmitt

I still don't understand why the Coxwell frontage needs to disappear. Seems like it could work with the new extension and that it would cost more to destroy it.

    Mississauga Pearson Transit Hub | ?m | ?s | GTAA

Yes, tricky to say the least. I guess I could conjure a solution, but not without cost and logistical implications (not to mention inconvenience for pax pushing their luggage trolleys across buildings and transit modes).

    Mississauga Pearson Transit Hub | ?m | ?s | GTAA

Maybe. With the envisioned changes to the landside it would be hard to see them maintain that service. Also, with 2-way all day service, high-speed rail, and VIA all clamouring for room on the Corridor, it might be hard to justify the special service. I wonder if this changes the masterplan...

    Mississauga Pearson Transit Hub | ?m | ?s | GTAA

Very interesting! The International Centre is directly adjacent to the Kitchener Corridor. This resolves the huge technical issues surrounding diverting the Kitchener Corridor (or a section thereof) closer to Pearson and is the first real sign of how serious the GTAA is about building the...

    Amazon Second HQ

I still don't believe that Toronto is going to land it, but this news is really going to dial-up the hate-on from ROC!
