I wonder if the people responsible for this abomination ever read these comments. If so: SHAME....*bell rings*....SHAME....SHAME....*bell rings*.....SHAME....

For my money the most interesting--and conceptually engaging--object in the "park" is the monolithic sign designating the space as a park.

Signage?....We don't need no stinkin' signage!

In normal times I would consider this highly indecent result to be quite shocking and worthy of outcry. But these are abnormal times--as nearly everything in society is undergoing some form of disruption, including, it would seem, any sort of remedial architectural standards and civic pride.

Starting on a Saturday? WTF?? Has Ford completely lost whatever mind he once had?

Great photo. Those beautifully illuminated barriers add a very regal, classical touch. Methinks they would look even sharper festooned with Christmas lights

What is that charcoalized beast in the foreground? Is it new? If so, what in dog's name are developers thinking these days?

How about a pedestrian bridge AND a small entrance fee?

Wow, I didn't know G & C had it in them to come up with something this nice. Agreed that the retail levels could do with some softening. Fingers crossed that the cheapening doesn't infect this one too much.

Damn, I love the angled windows--it's such a unique look. Hoping they don't get cheapified on the tower itself. (The only developer I trust to NOT do this is Westbank. Heck, even Great Gulf has gone to the dark side lately.)

Can Toronto easily be compared to any American cities?

In the words of Steve Martin: "Toronto is just like New York but without all the stuff".

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

This extension is not impressing anybody here in Fake-London. I doubt that any of the half dozen folks who have actually wasted an entire day riding it will change their votes to Ford as a result.

Clearly, not suggesting Usain Bolt as a viable alternate for the route. But perhaps a small army of heavily juiced Usain Bolt clones could do the trick until MX figures out how to make their trains run quicker.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The rail distance between London and Toronto is approx. 190 km. (If anyone knows the precise distance, feel free to elucidate).
