Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Well, we could go North to Malvern and past that to the Toronto Zoo. "The Toronto Zoo is open every day, all year!"

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

To add some facts. The first round of consultations also had the first meeting at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, which is located at Progress/Sheppard. The study area goes all the way to Meadowvale which is 7.5km east of Sheppard. Supplanting Eglinton East is definitely an option.

2024 Mississauga Mayoral Byelection Transit Plans

Well as the front runner Parris stopped attending debates and also so she wouldn't say anything improper. I guess it was fine because no one listens to the debates.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Np. Though if we're talking about the west end, it could terminate in Barrie. 😄

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

What's the point of the shepherd extension if they don't connect to Line 2. Where would the east end terminate?

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The can of worms was opened by the provincial government with legislation allowing open door policies for cross border operators in Toronto. Though not sure who requested the provincial government for that legislation.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Sheppard will offer connections to the western leg of Line 1, and Line 2 in the east, and many GO lines. Not necessarily overloading the Yonge line. And it'll make the Ontario Line extension a lot more valuable.

How feasible is a branched line with 90s headways?

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Yes, it'd be preferable if construction could start before the OL is complete.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

There might be a bit of a fight with NIMBYs for the elevated extension. There's benefits to not needing to fight all the NIMBYs at once.

Well, it's nice that it's fully protected against splashes from the road.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I don't think the route goes along Metro Rd N. It's mainly along Lake Drive. It's a 30km/h shared road, though there's recent plans to also make improvements to it.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I'm not exactly sure how to interpret the plan for East Gwillimbury. York Region is working with the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) to identify potential route alignment for future trail extensions in East Gwillimbury. On Road Sections are mainly in the Town of Georgina. A...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

There have been 7 hydraulic fluid incidents since Jan 2024. Another spill last night before today's meeting. Recently the work car was discovered at Spadina and they towed to Greenwood with the leak. 200L was spilled. The work car could have been left at Lower Bay station, which would have...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

That would be the average speed with all the traffic lights and dwell time considered. Also, I see some quotes with a 28 km/h avg speed, not sure what it is now. Finch West might have an average speed of 20-21 km.
