Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

Looking at this image I noticed that Days Inn is replacing their sign with the nice new logo. That should be good. Maybe they will eventually put up new cladding????? In addition, anybody else think that the Main Drug Mart on the corner could use a new facade? SVP

    Thornhill

Not at all. I live here and I must say that the new condos add incredible retail (Disera Drive- Google it) and improvements to roads and malls. What was there before was a huge field so this is a great improvement. To those who say that these condos are too suburban, you have to realize that...

I am sorry about that above post, my friend used my account. I explained to him what was going on. Thanks for your support anyway. SVP

Wow. This is definately one of my favourite projects simply because of the density this brings to the area. Just a few years ago it was a dirt field and parking lot, now it is incredible. BTW, I have seen the render for the podium but it is somewhat disorienting. Does anybody know how the...

    Sky park

This would be extremely expensive but if it were completed-hypothetically- it would really put Toronto on the map.

Suggestions: Redesigning Bramalea GO Station, Brampton

I am not terribly familiar with Bramalea GO but I know that all new GO stations are being built in a historical style. Like this: As well, these smaller station take up a relatively small footprint in the parking lot and may provide room for shops, etc. Hope this helps. SVP

    Toronto Ïce Condominiums at York Centre | 234.07m | 67s | Lanterra | a—A

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The developer might be waiting for more sales or there could be a technical/financial problem. Building a large project like this is difficult for developers. On a side note, I am headed to the Raptors game on Friday and if I come in on Bremner I will try to snap some...

Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

I was kind of thinking the 90's lettering. It is kind of iconic of the Gardens. Nevertheless, it is unlikely to happen. Just wishful thinking.

This can be seen as a good sign of the things to come regarding the store's impact on the facade. Loblaws erected this tasteful sign with rich colours rather than a bright, flashy sign. Ideally, I would hope that they stuck with an all-white logo sign when completed. You know what would be...

    Moving to Toronto (New grad)

Very true. I was just thinking about the lower prices and what I would say is good value. The condos are not overly expensive but have nice views and a huge park (Canoe Landing Park) right there. However, you are right, it is a little far from some things. As well, L.R. said that he is...

    Toronto Bloor Street Neighbourhood Condos | ?m | 32s | Cresford | Northgrave

Oy. I'm sure its nice on the inside but what was Cresford thinking? It looks really dated which does unfortunately contrast hugely with CASA.

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Good point. It is true that recent immigrants may be considered 'less Canadian' but our multiculturalism gives us a unique oppurtunity at the 2015 games. Maybe we really puch our multiculturalism and make that a central theme somehow. Or of course we could do what Vancouver...

    1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

That's incredible! However, I find it hard to wait that long. Anyway, I asked an attendant at Finch the other day and he also said they would be out midyear. That is a very good sign, meaning that this is correct. Unless something else goes wrong...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

This is a wonderful map, I must say. However, it does bring up an interesting point. Toronto subway maps, unlike many other cities, have never used 45* angles. Look at the Barcelona metro map for example and see the use of those standard angles. Anyway, this map brings up the point that if...

    Toronto Bloor Street Neighbourhood Condos | ?m | 32s | Cresford | Northgrave

This is a DISASTER condo I think. It looks almost 1960's slab-like and I think it might look very dated very soon. Hate to be so negative, but man is it ugly!

Look at the full view and imagine this with ICE built. This is going to be awesome! Onw of the truly inspiring shots of our fine city.

    Moving to Toronto (New grad)

Hi and welcome to Toronto. I would reccomend moving into any of the fine towers of Cityplace. It is a large condo development with a brand new park in the centre. It is also right on the waterfront and minutes from the Island airport ferry. Plus, it is close to the entertainment district and all...

Hi all. First of all, I must say I do like the new Urban Toronto! Anyway, has anybody else thought that King St. could use some improvements around here? For the film festival I would like some more restaurants, etc. but more importantly, I think that there should be more trees, streetscape...
