    East Bayfront: Parkside/Bayside/Dockside neighbourhoods Overview

I don't think all parcels of the EAst Bayfront & West Donlands are owned by the City. There are a few plots that are privately owned but any future development of that land is to adhere to the guidelines set out by Waterfront TO.

City Hall may designate entire city as official tourism area

I agree that this may not be such a good idea but wouldn't the retailers retain the option of not opening on a Statutory Holiday if it does not make business sense to remain open?

    Toronto LTD Condos | ?m | 15s | Malibu Investments | RAW Design

It looks a bit like Boutique. They describe it as a boutique condo

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

I must admit that walking down Spadina through the stretch of Condos is very uncomfortable...even on a beautiful sunny day. However driving down that stretch of Spadina at night, there is a sense of awe at these tall giants all lit up. I agree with most that lots more should have been done to...

Telegraph: Toronto - the city that retains its human scale

Toronto is home, and why bash your home. Besides, TO is in the midst of some major home renovations and additions. Good times, good times.

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

I agree with Project End, not everyone is anti-City Place on this thread. I think CityPlace is getting better with each new project. This is a massive project with many buildings and I think there were some poorly designed and constructed buildings and there are some good ones. Neo in...

Bay Adelaide Centre West Tower (Brookfield, 50s, WZMH)

I agree, the marketing team deserves a bonus.

Waterfront: Jarvis Slip Public Space Design Competition

Upon quick glance I actually like the openness of Janet Rosenberg's design, but it is a bit cold and that glass/water piece in the middle of the open space seems impractical and dangerous. My overall pic would be West 8. If they get selected the incorporation of it's Centeral Waterfront Design...

    Maple Leaf Gardens renovations delayed

What would have been nice if Maple Leaf Gdns was expropriated and purchased by Ryerson as part of their Master Plan. There could be lots of potential for this site to become a state of the art mutli use facility.

Ont Gov't building at 880 Bay, at Grosvenor St (ORC, 44s?, WZMH)

My understanding is the OPS is very short on office space and leases are up soon at various locations. They are looking for long-term solutions. Archivist, how do you get from 880 to Queen's Park? I work in that area and would love a quick route to the QP stn

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

There's a clause in the contract that allows the devlopers to delay the occupancy date. It can range anywhere from 18-24months from the stated occupancy date.

    Evolving Bloor Street built form

1 Bloor East does stand out. I guess "landmark" is appropriate.

Toronto Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Perkins&Will

I also hope they take the idea of having the flags on the Bay St side moved to the Queen St side. Though it wasn't part of the winning design.

    Mystery Sites

There are quite a few lots around Spire in the Adelaide Richmond area east of Yonge. Right on the edges of the Financial district, those can easily be redeveloped into supertalls.

    Progress Place Renovation

    I agree, it is fugly!!!

    Toronto Residences Of College Park Condos | ?m | 51s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I find the 2nd phase of ROCP overall, less impressive than phase I. It's looks frumpier.

The Met + Encore at The Met (Edilcan, 43 + 33s, P+S) COMPLETE

I noticed electrical/cable outlets at the bottom of the pillars. That's great! Does make it lot easier to place furniture. The pictured unit is definitely my favourite layout at the Met.

What about that ugly Motel on Bay st, N of Dundas south of Gerrard. Corner of ELM and bay. That definitely needs to go

    Toronto X The Condominium | ?m | 44s | Great Gulf | a—A

Like it or hate it, X is definitely different from your typical condo designs. Kudos to Great Gulf for allowing to go beyond the usual "green" and transparent glass box.
