    Toronto Pinnacle Toronto East | 99.47m | 30s | Pinnacle | Arcadis

All the spots being redeveloped will be high-rise, but not all the land is spots being redeveloped. In twenty years 75% of the existing frontage will not have changed along eglinton and sheppard, as they are already in use as other things. In this case I dont think we're going to see the lrt...

Missing Links in the Toronto Streetcar Network

I read this whole thing thinking lsb was leslie streetcar barns. whoops. I second the Junction extension, there is still a turn around at Runnymede from before. I would like to see the Ossington/ Dovercourt/ Oakwood replaced between liberty village and a new eglinton/oakwood station. Would do...

The next meeting will be the statutory public meeting, I'll try to post it on here when it is put up. I really hope so too, but last time a building was put for this site in 2005 it was shot down for being too tall (at 7 stories!), so we'll see. I think 7 is just fine. not sure why people are so...

    Newmarket

the meeting on April 3rd was pretty well attended by all sorts of Newmarket people. Here are some shots of the site that surrounds the old Post Office building at Main and Park Ave as it currently looks. The Post office and it's 1950s addition are owned by Forrester and run as an old age...

    Newmarket

There is a condo development proposed for downtown, in the parking lot between main and the library. there is a meeting tomorrow at 7pm at the community center near behind main street. it starts at 7pm. If any UTers can get there it would be really good, as there is a very strong NIMBYism here...

    Toronto Art Condos | ?m | 11s | Triangle West | Oleson Worland

Its not for artists, artists dont need habitats built for them, they make their own. however it is a good addition to the nabe.

this place is awesome. more condos like this! I like that there is outdoor space. the feeling of being shut-in in run of the mill condos is actually quite depressing and anti-urban.

    Toronto Livmore High Park | 81.99m | 25s | GWL | Zeidler

its not executed perfectly, there could have been more attention to detail, nicer railings and only vertical windows, but at least they're trying. theres retail on the bottom and it fits well into the street. the render for the building above looks like a chunk of World on Yonge.

Ahem... Yonge Street South of St. Clair. I dont see how this is any harder to build than most of the crap we see today. looks rather simple, actually.

    St Lawrence Market

I actually ended up going to Bellissimo's on the Esplanade on the recommendation of a girl in the park. the pizza there is really good. AAA looked cool during a daytime walk-by, so I will need to check it out.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

Here are some pictures of the Davis Rapidway construction from earlier today. below you can see one of the retaining walls, half of the new bridge (other side is under construction), and the new power line poles that are moved back from the street. I was SHOCKED to find out that transit costs...

So, what exactly is the reason given that this building should have above ground parking levels? Oh right, it cant be below grade because its on top of a subway, in the most transit accessible area of the country. gotchya. ???

sorry if this has already been discussed, but will you be able to walk along the north side of the church, or will the tower be touching the church building at the eastern side where it is close?

Monster home, townhouses in Brampton, neighbours not amused

true, however you can only blame so much on the MTO, eventually it comes down to a culture of not valuing the tree canopy among the inhabitants of an area. especially considering trees are basically free if you grow it from a seed (shockingly this is how trees are made!)

    Richmond Hill 8888 Yonge Condominiums | ?m | 15s | Metroview | Northgrave

I totally agree with you, and actually live pretty close to your second link. But how can we get a large developer to make a normal neighbourhood?

    Toronto Nest Condos | 36.88m | 9s | Rockport Group | RAW Design

KFC land bought and money injected into st. Clair West? Rob Ford probably cried into his cereal today over this. Cant wait to see the KFC get smashed!

Monster home, townhouses in Brampton, neighbours not amused

I honestly think overplanting is the last issue the suburbs have with trees. the main issue is they're terrified of planting anything that will cause shade on the road, ie close to the road. honestly one if the biggest difference between this side of the humber and the other is the fact that...
