    Toronto Cumberland Square | 253.92m | 75s | KingSett Capital | Giannone Petricone

The design reminds me of the regency. The actual tower is very similar, but I have to say it's not what I would do with the property if I had my way.

Cumberland Terrace Not sure if anyone has noticed this but the redevelopment of Cumberland Terrace was being discussed in the four seasons thread and then I stumbled upon this link. It's under "urban design" on their site so this may be just an idea they're throwing out there, but it's...

    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

Agreed. When I first heard the rumors of W hotels buying the old four seasons, I thought a better idea would be to buy cumberland terrace, do a complete tear down, and build a beautiful hotel condo. Ourdoor pool, all the amenities, a good lounge or bar. Could be the new Film Festival hotspot...

    Toronto 500 Wellington West | ?m | 10s | Freed | Core Architects

CTV won't be moving from Agincourt any time soon. There may have been talk when they acquired Chum that some news operations may move to the Chum building but apart from that the actual company won't be moving. That building houses way too many people, and is strategically in a great location...

    Liberty Square/NOA (Markham Ctr, Liberty, 16 + 13 + 10 + 9s, P+S/IBI)

Like I said before, there are many factors that could impact their rents. Assuming it cost more to do the underground parking, they could have saved the difference when buying the land originally (compared to what their competitors paid) so all other things being equal they cancel each other...

    Liberty Square/NOA (Markham Ctr, Liberty, 16 + 13 + 10 + 9s, P+S/IBI)

who knows, depending on how good the deal was from the beginning they may have had room to keep leases a little cheaper. Maybe they bought land really cheaply, maybe they financed the project really well, maybe they negotiated well with the contruction company. A lot of factors go into...

    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

It's quite possible that if W gained control of it that they would re-brand the building, modernize it, and go after their typical crowd. But if Investor is right and a Toronto developer bought it, then who knows what will happen. Maybe they'll update the building and let a hotel company...

    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

These are just rumors right now but I've heard from a source that W hotels has bought the old four seasons at Yorkville and Avenue Rd. We'll find out soon enough, but I think until the new site is constructed and operational Four Seasons will still own and operate the old property.

    Condo Buyer

Apart from some horrendous architecture, and IMO bad locations, they're probably not bad buildings. Concord Adex is a reputable developer and appear to be doing what they can do develop a sense of community. As long as you can tollerate the low rate architecture and living in a fabricated...

    Mystery Sites

There's a lot right on Colborne between Church and Leader right in the heart of the St Lawrence Market area. Anybody know who owns that and if there are any development plans for it? Would be a fantastic site for a funky loft.

Advice on Real Estate Agent Dealing w/ Lofts

I'm not a loft buyer, although I love lofts and am actively searching for the right one. If I had to recommend an agent, I'd say call Brad Lamb and have one of his agents help you out. They specialize in condos (and lofts in particular) so if anybody can help you they can...

    New condo "Confirmed Possession"

It varies. Some projects end up going 2 years past their expected timeline. If the project appears to be on time chances are the confirmed possession will be pretty close to the expected occupancy date. but if the project has been plagued with difficulties you could be waiting many months...

    Jobs with Developers?

It's funny you mention property management, because that's what I'm currently doing. I've sort of been taken under the wing of a real estate investor and he's taught me as much as he can. I help him manage a fairly large portfolio for an individual (about 60,000 sq ft of commercial, 10,000...

    Jobs with Developers?

No I haven't cheked them out. I've been looking at going to some BOMA seminars, and I've been scouring through the www.bildgta.ca site for job postings. I've had a few meetings with some developers (some of the bigger condo guys and a few smaller developer as well) but the biggest issue...

    Oakville Edgemere Private Residences | ?m | 4s | Niche | a—A

45 million dollar home, being torn down for 30 luxury condo units......What a shame, it's a beautiful house and an even more beautiful property. Who is the developer planning this?

    Oakville Edgemere Private Residences | ?m | 4s | Niche | a—A

why is it being torn down? I know it recently sold but not sure who the buyer was. What is the plan for the property?

    Jobs with Developers?

I'll have to look into them. I'm planning to do an MBA (or Master of Science in Real Estate Development MSRED) but any good grad school wants a minimum of 2 years work experience for their MBA prospects. I just graduated from undergrad so I'm looking for that entry level position to hold me...
