Milestone's has opened! The patio is wicked! The line-up for tickets at AMC theaters were almost to the entrance way...seems like the public enjoys the daytime movies best.

Today's article in the Toronto Star by Christopher Hume commends Dundas Square following earlier harsh words: "And let's not overlook Dundas Square. It, too, was widely criticized when it opened several years ago. But perhaps the rush to judgment was a bit premature; the city's newest public...

This is an excellent point. To add to caltrane's point... What were you expecting from a building with Harvey's, burger joints and a movie theatre? Come on. Be realistic. This isn't a museum, art gallery or skyscraper. To expect blockbuster stuff from this building is laughable. In fact...

Milestone's staff are gearing up for a Friday opening. This one looks a lot ritzier than the others. Chipotle is projecting a mid to late July opening. The lighting, walls, floors are complete. Shouldn't be long now! :)

I called the Toronto Life Square office in May to ask about the sign. They said the sign has not been installed yet because they are waiting for sign-off from Toronto Life (magazine). Their goal was to hopefully have it installed by the end of the summer. To their knowledge, it would be...

Of course the Paramount building is beautiful and intriguing. But is it prominent in Times Square? No. Absolutely not. By far, the advertising signs in the core of Times Square are still the focus and most photographed. This is my point. I bet if you did a survey people wouldn't even know that...

True. More money should be spent on architectually appealling buildings than ones covered in advertising.

"In the end, Times Square is SO BIG, with SO MUCH to look at that one never really sees the buildings, not because they're completely or partially hidden, but because there is so much else to look at that's throbbing and glowing and flashing." This is my point exactly. Why waste substantial...

What kind of development were you expecting of Toronto Life Square? In Times Square for example, can you recount the beautiful architectual buildings? No. Times Square is an attraction because of the advertising showcased. The buildings are hidden, passe and an after-thought. The true...

Most major cities have suburban bigbox restaurants. In fact, they started in the cities - Milestone's (Vancouver), Swiss Chalet (Toronto-yes, this is true) Pickle Barrel (Toronto), etc. Downtown Toronto has had a deficit of these types of restaurants compared to the suburbs. There should be a...

I AGREE. This is unbelievable, unacceptable and mystifying why Toronto Life, as a sponsor, has not proceeded to post their art deco exterior signage. As a key component of their awareness building, it makes no business sense to sponsor a square, only to delay the installation of the signage...

Anyone know the status of construction on this project? We seem to be stuck on the podium level... Ambitious to see this rise!

why would they remove the coke sign after installing it last week? Baffling.

What is the italian food stand? Saute Rose? I thought it was french. lol. Pumpernichols has installed their sign... Looks like July will be a blockbuster meal month: Johnny Rockets, Milestone's, Chipotle and Pumpernichols all open up. In the heart of tourist season! Hat World should be...

Chipotle is set to open the last week of June according to construction personnel. For those of you not familiar with this restaurant, it offers popular Mexican American cuisine in a casual Starbucks lounge like environment.
