My bet: Addidas is threatening to move. It's never busy everytime I pass by. Simons would be an awesome addition to the complex. I don't know how - or if - that is possible space wise. Simons needs to get their act together too!

My guess: They will reconstruct the whole retail space. This may entail gutting portions of the second and third office floors above - much like they did with Burberry. Then extend it forward and upward a bit to give it a prominent presence. It does make you wonder though - with all this...

The perfect scenario would be to convert the Eaton Centre Sears into a half Simons / half Target. As mentioned before, the space is too large for any one retailer. By splitting it in half, two retailers can succeed. Simons should -absolutely- be a part of Yorkdale's expansion. It would be...

Given that this place is opening February 1st, I thought the signage would be up already!

According to their website, Crate & Barrel 2 (CB 2) is opening at Bathurst and Queen this Summer. CB 2 parrels IKEA more than a higher end store.

"Blowfish on Bay" will open at the Bay-Adelaide Centre soon. The restaurant will be situated in the historic brick area of the tower facing Bay street. Signs on the window give notice to the liquor licence application.

It still seems like it has a long way to go before it reaches equivalent height of Scotiabank.

Official signage has been posted at Yonge & Dundas for the new Joey's Eaton Centre restaurant. Sign says it is opening "soonish."

There are lots of chain restaurants in the Entertainment District: Jack Astor's, Milestone's, and Baton Rouge to name a few.

It's a shame we lost a lot of the Yonge Street restaurants / taverns too.

The signage explains why it is taking so long for the platforms to move down....hopefully it speeds up...
