If we're not going ahead with the corner Reno, then some bike posts should be reinstalled. Several were removed during utility work and sidewalk replacing and now there are inadequate bike posts in front of the Alexus.

What happened to Urban Herbivore, did they move or close? It's some sort of cafe or gelato place now.

    Toronto Wellesley on the Park | 194.15m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

The YMCA at Wimbledon is a tired building that the Y wants to replace (see Google photo below). The YMCA on Grosvenor is a flagship location in excellent condition. It has great design and meets the needs of its clients well. Why are you eager to see it torn down? There are other lots with...

For lease sign up at 7/24. So much for Starbucks moving in.

Sales office buildings have been plopped down. They need some cladding so they don't look like a wasteland.

That's great news about North of Brooklyn opening -- can't wait!

I completely agree. The building could have been saved twenty years ago but now you'd have to take it apart and reassemble it because it's in a slow state of collapse. Save the NW and SE corner buildings but let this one go. It may have been the more remarkable building but it's too late and...

Because netflix has a more limited selection. Online is the future, but it's still not perfect.

There are plenty of buildings that don't get built for one reason or another when the market slows. 50 Wellesley comes to mind. The previous building (#46) was knocked down but construction delayed due to the 2008 financial crisis. Even though it's a reputable builder, it's still an empty lot...

Great pictures! I don't know that I love this building, but I have to admire the way they propped up the heritage house over the hole.

The new fine food store is great, a good addition to the street. I think they will do well. I rent from 7/24 regularly. I hope they don't move far. Proximity is one reason I frequent them. Distance would make me tolerate higher online prices more.

Oh one odd thing. 155 visitor bicycle spots? I love cycling but that seems a tad high.

I see nothing to celebrate here. I live at Church and Alexander so the impact to me is minimal, but the south tower will be completely out of place in the neighborhood. Twenty or thirty stories would have been fine. 52 is insane. The only reason we ended up with 52/23 instead of chopping both...

Oh wow. He was just quoted in the paper as saying they were doing better and were going to be there for a long time.

A good bakery would be welcome. Pusateris recently switched from Ace breads which is owned by loblaws to St. John's. I know some people like St. John's but I can't stand their bread. My visits to Pusateris have been halved since the change and my visits to loblaws increased. I know Ace is not...

Agreed. I love cheese and live across the straight but rarely shopped there due to price. I like to buy from cheese shops, but this was too high priced.

    Toronto Eaton Centre

Some day Apple needs to get a larger store at the Eaton Centre. The current one is tiny for the traffic and compared to newer locations. It's almost like they're waiting for the perfect location in the mall to open. What do they know that we don't?

    Downtown Yonge

What's up,with the lights on top of the Met condos? A year ago, the round LED light tower would slowly change from colour to colour. It broke during the winter, getting stuck on one colour for weeks on end. When they fixed it, it started frenetically changing colors without smooth transitions...
