    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

Has this building been registered yet? or are they waiting until the whole crane thing is sorted out?

    Sears Canada (1952-2017)

Well, GKW didn't say we're hoping for Sears to die. I can agree that we are probably all expecting Sears to go under and hoping (for the sake of the Canadian economy) that something does take over those stores.

Will Toronto develop an iconic signature food or food(s) like other cities?

Somebody needs to make a high-end version of the peameal bacon sandwich... something to make it famous. Right now, it's not famous and all we can say is it's unique to Toronto. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for someone to come up something new altogether. Either way, it'll take time for...

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

I think it's irrelevant whether some people here understand the draw of Uniqlo, Muji, H&M or Zara. These are GLOBAL brands that have obviously already proved that they appeal to people in Europe, Asia and North America. It's always good to see these shopping options start appearing in Canada...

Toronto non-mall retail (Odds & Ends)

Grange at Jarvis/King is having a relocation sale. No idea where they're relocating to.

Toronto non-mall retail (Odds & Ends)

Nope, I was wrong earlier. MUJI is going into the old Black's location with an outside entrance facing Dundas. It's not a big space so this is going to be a small MUJI store... thus don't expect the selection you may see elsewhere like NYC or London. Was surprised to see Black's closed...

    Toronto Eaton Centre

I fondly remember Magic Pan. It was on the top floor about where Club Monaco is now. They dipped the bottom of pans in the crepe batter then placed them upside-down over their rotating oven.

    Toronto Eaton Centre

I remember M&S at the Eaton Centre... it was two floors and, if my memory serves me correctly, around where HMV is right now (and whatever is above it). Clothing on the top floor, foodstuffs on the bottom. It was pretty dead in there near the end so no surprise they retreated from Canada.

Toronto non-mall retail (Odds & Ends)

I think it's more likely the formerly-Guess space with the two floors and Yonge St exposure. Unit C-03 would indicate a Concourse unit.

    Toronto Eaton Centre

They were starting put up what looked like scaffolding in front of the old Sears location along Yonge on Thursday. Preparing for the Nordstrom renovation?

    Interior Designer Recommendation

I know this is an old thread but does anyone have any recent recommendations for an interior designer? Also, how and how much do they usually charge? Thanks.

    Bloor-Yorkville Scene

Guy managing the lineup last weekend said they had their lease extended until the end of August because they were doing so well.

    Reimbursement for delays from Tarion?

Thanks for the replies. I'll get a letter from my landlord and hope that they reimburse that.

    Reimbursement for delays from Tarion?

Has anyone gotten reimbursed by Tarion for condo delayed longer than the allowable limits? I have an occupancy date that has been delayed twice now without the required 35 days notice and the Tarion site says I need to submit any receipts to get reimbursed up to $100 per day. I don't have any...

West One Condos (Concord CityPlace) - Real Estate -

Call your auto insurer From what I understand most condos will probably have some sign saying you're using the underground parking at your own risk. Talk to your condo corp. They'll probably tell you to take it up with your auto insurer. If you're insured with a broker then they might be...
