Great updates as usual. It seems they still have to layout out 50% of the floor rebar and conduits plus the blue bases for the cladding. I wouldn’t be totally surprised if they pour it tomorrow but I would wager on Monday. The forecast also calls for rain tomorrow afternoon so they may schedule...

They might be willing to have residents use “SkyBuild” elevators. There is a UT storey on the type of elevators used in this building: https://urbantoronto.ca/news/2020/10/innovative-elevator-system-being-employed-mizrahis-one.43297

It is progressing so rapidly because just like the parking structure it is assembled from prefabricated pieces. No underground excavation and no rebar or forms to erect.

I don’t think so. Earlier in the week they poured the columns and walls.

It will be interesting to see how the cladding for the mechanical section will look like, which now shouldn’t be that far off.

If the renders are correct, these are the 30 and 60 stories towers (the grey and red top towers.) The 42/yellow top one should be reaching grade soon while the excavation for the tallest (blue top) tower should be almost done.

They have done 33 floors and are now working on the walls supporting the 34th floor. The next mechanical section is floors 37,38.

Interesting. If a crane is owned by one trade and given that it would be used for all the heavy lifting during construction, it should lead to some complicated scheduling/accounting and chargebacks.

I still think this is a placeholder as it looks like it is copied from 1 Yonge, tower 1.

Every level finished is a milestone. Though this becomes routine and is repeated more than 90 times, it is still somehow satisfying, I imagine more for those directly involved, to see a floor being poured after a week or two of preparation.

This is absurd. Unfortunately, average buyers don’t even look out for these numbers till they or their poor tenants move in and one cab is out of service, one more is reserved for moving and they have to wait 20 minutes to go up to their unit. The cities should have strict guidelines to mandate...
