The second floor retail unit that once contained the Future Shop has been leased by TJX Canada

For those wondering about the old FutureShop location at Yonge and Dundas, TJX Canada has apparently got the lease.

I really don't think this area needs to be short. With this site's proximity to Yonge street, Queen Station and Ryerson University, i feel 40 stories is acceptable for this site. It's a bit higher than what exists now, but I don't think it's too much. This isn't the St. Lawrence Market.

I fear if an Ikea were to open downtown, the little ridership that does exist on the Sheppard line would decrease even more :p. Joking aside, I do agree with taal, an Ikea would do incredibly well downtown, but perhaps have large items (e.g. beds, tables, large chests of drawers, etc) as...

I can't imagine why they still haven't developed this lot. I'm sure they make plenty of money from the parking lot, but surely there must be exponentially higher amounts to be made from developing this massive property that is situated so close to the financial district.

More office space would be a far better fit for this lot. So much for attracting more employment to NYC
