I’m struggling to find anything I like about this project from an architectural standpoint.…but more housing…so that’s positive.

This seems like a flawed argument. We need all the housing we can get and this location seems perfect from all aspects. The site can really only be developed once. Building, repairing and maintaining the necessary infrastructure would likely make more sense.

Is it just me...or is this a very obvious, piss-poor rip-off of the Gairloch project at Bayview and Eglinton?

I guess this is what happens when Councillor Jaye Robinson doesn't want to accommodate the built form requirements for a LTC facility. Shame...although great for the 50k/year/kid private school that needs more green space.

Building looks precisely like someone half cared.

Approved at the OLT after what sounds like a pretty pathetic appeal from the immediate neighbour. Decision reads like the neighborhood thought he could design the building for the developer and convince the member it was better. Too funny.

literally the coolest aspect of the project and Staff is worried about it. Too funny. With an architect like Batay they should be encouraging freedom and creativity. Pushing them to do something special.

Amount of shade??? Do you use the same argument when trees get too tall? Tower floor plates can't really get any smaller. If this developer has figured out how to make these layouts work efficiently, I'd say let them build it as tall as they can. One of the better spots in the city for new...

Good for Gairloch. Hopefully they bring the same type of attention to detail to this tower as they do for their mid-rise buildings.
