    Toronto 87 Peter | 156.05m | 49s | Menkes | Core Architects

I know about zero people who would want to live above a nightclub.

Ontario Court of Appeal greenlights brothels

The feeling is mutual, I assure you.

Ontario Court of Appeal greenlights brothels

Well, if you're right let's put it to a public vote. The public should approve brothels overwhelmingly if there is nothing wrong with them.

Ontario Court of Appeal greenlights brothels

Of course there will be less illegal brothels. Because they will now be legal. I don't know too many people who would want them in their neighbourhood. Especially people with children. What exactly would be an "appropriate location"? An apartment immediately next door to another apartment...

Ontario Court of Appeal greenlights brothels

OK, but most of these brothels will probably just be people's apartments. Would you want the apartment next to yours being turned into a brothel?

OLG Toronto/GTA casino proposal (where to put it?)

If there HAS to be a casino, why wouldn't they just build it at Woodbine? I don't see how there's even a debate. They wouldn't even half to expand it all that much necessarily (though I'm sure there would some expansion). For the most part, they could just move a large percentage of the video...

Hume: Are Toronto condo towers slums in the making?

I doubt that very much. I thought your source would be the article, but the article says nothing to that point. So what is your source?

OLG Toronto/GTA casino proposal (where to put it?)

No. NYC just gotten a "lottery terminal casino". The same thing we already have at Woodbine. They do not have, and have not approved actual table games. Chicago and Los Angeles have casinos within driving distance, but none in the city proper. We already have casinos within driving distance.

OLG Toronto/GTA casino proposal (where to put it?)

Nonsense. There are no casinos in the three biggest cities of the Unites States - L.A., Chicago, New York. But I guess we're better than them right? We're more like Las Vegas or Atlantic City than those three insignificant cities.

OLG Toronto/GTA casino proposal (where to put it?)

Not at all. I've seen Donald Trump himself acknowledge that casinos bring with them crime and myriad social problems. And he has all the reason in the world to be pro-casino. It only makes sense. People go to these places, piss away their paycheque, and then have to resort to unsavoury things to...

OLG Toronto/GTA casino proposal (where to put it?)

Toronto doesn't need a casino. Casinos are for trashy, tacky places that are desperate to draw in the unwashed masses. I remember in the early 1990s, Donald Trump was interviewed on a Canadian news show (don't remember which one). They were talking about building a casino in Windsor (which he...

Population of Toronto (Including Census Counts)

I went ahead and edited the page myself. Someone had written in the description that the 2011 population was 730,xxx. I changed it to your number.

Population of Toronto (Including Census Counts)

It looks like you're right, 676k is 2001. If you have a Wikipedia account, you can update this web page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_City_of_Toronto If not, I'll create a Wikipedia account and update it myself (from what I understand anyone can update Wikipedia).

    Toronto building boom

Vancouver`s Yaletown is not vibrant due to the condos built there the last 20 years. In fact, in terms of nightlife, there were more nightclubs there 30 years ago than there is now.

Population of Toronto (Including Census Counts)

I think you may have added in one too many census tracts. The old city only had 676,352 as of the 2006 census. The census website sucks so bad. At least with the 2006 census you could see the population of the old boroughs directly. It would say Toronto (dissolved) 676,352 East York...

Population of Toronto (Including Census Counts)

When I click on that link though, where do I click to get the maps with the census tracts? I can't find it.

Population of Toronto (Including Census Counts)

Where do you find these numbers? I find the StatsCan web site very unintuitive and difficult to use. And do you know where I can find the map with the census tract borders? A while ago I added up all the census tracts for downtown Toronto, and I would like to add the same for the new census to...

    Parking Problem

Is it technically illegal to be in a public park in the city of Toronto after a certain time? I know in Mississauga some of the parks have signs saying that the park closes at a certain time. I'm not sure if that's true of all Mississauga parks, or if it is enforced.

    Canada's next Prime Minister?

No, it doesn't "have to go". The government should be whoever the people vote in. Your opinion is no more valid than any other's, thus it is arrogant to say that it has "got to go" because you don't want them in. Don't cut it for who? You? Not everyone is as left-leaning as you. I wouldn't...

    Canada's next Prime Minister?

So because I live in downtown Toronto I'm not allowed to vote Conservative? Hahaha. What a silly thing to imply. Harper I think has done a pretty good job, and is probably getting my vote. Nobody is perfect, but our country has done pretty well during his term. The current government is...
