Unfortunately they would never extend the subway to Malvern

    TTC: Streetcar Network

The split was not recommended cause of more resource used and bad schedules leading to increased short turns. Fast forward to 2018, they split the 504 in a similar fashion.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

TTC might run this as a streetcar and thus 38 min isn’t wrong for them. Seriously trip can be completed in 28 min with proper timing. They just need to hire some international engineers with experience since most of ours are just garbage.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Because there is no such island route. The bus is just there stored for emergency in case they can’t operate one of the 3 ferries for whatever reason and need to transport people to another terminal. So you won’t find it running 99% of the time.

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

Rapid? The downtown section is a glorified streetcar. It takes up to 20 minutes to travel through the downtown core (pre-pandemic) and have similar loading issues like the Yonge Line in rush hour (pre-pandemic). They dwell over a minute at each station for boarding and waiting for the lights...

It’s more like an upgrade or major overhaul than something entirely new.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It is all storage. I didn’t expect them to open it. This isn’t a big garage like the modern ones. I see 1/8th of the garage parking was opened up. You could see the parking painted lanes on the floor inside.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Delivers should really be after hours. Either early in the morning or late at night. No one needs cabs and trucks blocking the view in the day.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I'm pretty sure highways 5 and 10 were maintained by the cities at the time of the mass downgrade, Ontario just provided subsidies through Connecting Link agreements. Without the subsidies, the designations went away as Peel wasn't funding them. Caledon and rural Brampton (in 1997, it was a...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

Waste of gas, designed for rural use, chunky and takes up more space and higher hp meaning more likely to kill someone in a collision Think of how much more parking space there would be on on-street parking if everyone used a tiny fiat instead of a fat pickup. Of course some people like to...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

We all know ML is like a teenage girl changing clothes. They could never get their initial requirements correct and asks for many changes. I mean how many times they try to change the contact? Big ones get pressed all over the news like reducing the number of LRVs to 76. We don’t know who...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

If you are willing to pay for all the changes, sure. Clearly they didn't communicate at the beginning and someone decided to go ahead with something that is incompatible. This whole fight is who is going to pay not lets all pull money out of their own pockets and get it done.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Clearly ML sucks as it never involved the TTC when they created the project specs. Crosslinx sucks too as they can't build properly.

Here is the service summary for the route in summer 2004.

To metrolinx: the project is too big for one P3. Try piloting a smaller project first.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It means they aren't on paid leave since they are not isolating from COVID. So they have to go back to work. Of course there is additional costs, it's not free to drive a bus/train. Fuel and electricity cost is also a significant factor. The biggest fail is not just management but to send all...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Yeah it wasn't too long ago, back in 2015 to be exact. It added 5 minutes of round trip time to every route that used it and didn't terminate there.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The walls are staying to keep the ventilation and electrical rooms hidden from the public. It will be 3 car trains max, which is the length of the current Sheppard subway.
