A light effect in the mist, on Key West in Humber Bay Shores.

The mist rises. Well, maybe it doesn’t actually rise, but ”rise” sounds more poetic than “Dissipate.”

Highrises from Mimico Creek. The towers may be high but the water level is very low, as can be seen here

Goose Ramp in Humber Bay. Canada Geese are not exactly uncommon but, well, here you go anyways…

Crane Day at the marinas in West Humber Park. The marinas rent huge mobile cranes to hoist yachts out for winter storage. A touch of sadness at the end of the season.

An Autumn walk in the park. The water level is as low as I have seen it since moving to Humber Bay. Some hard shell sunbathers. We also saw a mink, but, unfortunately, no photo.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

And a lot of food prep and just simple cleanup is more convenient with counter space on both sides of the sink. Is there a dishwasher in that kitchen?

    Toronto 15-17 Elm | 99m | 30s | Fora | PARTISANS

I am not at all familiar with the work of Partisans. So I looked up their website to see what else they are doing. There is a reference to and a rendering of a tower in Toronto they call “Glitch”. Interesting title! I can’t quite imagine that as a name approved by a marketing department but...

    Toronto 15-17 Elm | 99m | 30s | Fora | PARTISANS

As said by IC42 in the article, it does have echoes of Gaudi. I like that! Someone in the front page comments thinks it is ugly and would want it to be dark. Colour is a matter of individual preference, of course. But if the salute to Gaudi is intentional, this is the right colour, IMO. Think...

    Kotsy's Toronto Photos

I agree with Justin. Kotsy, you are an artist. I know only a very little about photography. Just enough to recognize a small part of the skill, care and artistic sensibility that must go into your work. Thanks, and please keep posting!

Some GTA Aerials by Tim MacDonald (Covid19 induced Boredom)

Thanks, Bangkok. Great work! But I am also curious about those odd structures Goldie asked about. What are they? They do look like a prison camp! Perhaps for posters who cross the Mods on UT?

    Toronto Thirty Six Zorra Condominiums | 113.68m | 35s | Altree | Graziani + Corazza

LOL, so that’s what Zorra means. I am taking an online Spanish course and that hasn’t come up yet. I can understand why! I have no idea how a region settled chiefly by Scots got that name!

    Toronto 2491 Lake Shore West | 34.91m | 9s | Kettlebeck | BDP Quadrangle

I’ll miss Tita’s Mexican Restaurant which is now in that plaza, assuming the plans go through. And yes, it does look like an appropriate project for the site.

    Toronto Thirty Six Zorra Condominiums | 113.68m | 35s | Altree | Graziani + Corazza

A slightly related historical note about the name “Zorra”: Zorra is a township in Oxford County, southwestern Ontario. This is part of a wider area that was once called the “Scotch Block” because the majority of early European settlers were Scots farmers. In the 1870’s Tug of war was a popular...

Post your pictures of Toronto here!

An inside photo, through one way glass, of the surgical waiting area at Toronto General Hospital. It appears to be very well arranged and comfortable. It even has a facade of an older structure built in. Unfortunatel, I am not able to get a shot from a different room to get a different angle on...
