    Canadian airline industry (general discussion)

The uncertainty with Flair is why I flew Porter last month. Porter was excellent! And the cost wasn't that much more than Flair. I met some people at the Victoria BC airport. They were flying Air Canada to Toronto, but they were stuck at the airport because their flight was delayed by 3...

News on retail chains (was: New Mall Retail)

That's good news! This is a company that price gouged hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes during the first COVID lockdown, until the media got hold of it, then they claimed the pricing was a "mistake" lol Good riddance Pusateri's! You won't be missed!

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

So what? It's no different than it was 20 years ago when i was a teen.. The only difference is now employers are allowed to import cheap foreign labour while undercutting our local labour market.

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Driving to Pittsburgh recently, i noticed most of the fast food places i was at, were employed by mostly young teenagers working summer jobs. Like it used to be here. Now just about every single fast food worker in the GTA are all grown adult TFW's Pretty bad young people can't even find...

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

It is a wide spread problem. Talk to anyone who has a cottage there. Beaches attract gutter trash. They drink and do drugs, especially on long weekends and shit and puke on the beaches. My aunt and uncle have a cottage in Sauble Beach, they spend every long weekend back at home in Toronto...

    Canadian airline industry (general discussion)

Canadian taxes is why tickets are sky high. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/airlines-fees-canada “Ottawa prefers to treat our airports as cash cows, rather than the essential transportation infrastructure that they are,” said Gabriel Giguère, the author of the new study. “These taxes...

    Starbucks

Same here. But after 6 pm you're choices of indie cafes are limited. But Starbucks and Horton's are always open. I miss my college days in mid 2000s, when most if not all indie cafes were open late.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Yes i meant white cargo vans. Doesn't matter what race they are. But a lot of them are new to the country. These delivery drivers are appallingly treated. They are all over worked, underpaid and give no effs. Amazon is powered by slave labour.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

I see DHL delivery trucks illegally parked all the time with tickets. DHL is worth $51 billion. They don't care about a $60 dollar ticket. Maybe it's time to boot the trucks and have them towed away? Also those white cargo Amazon drivers! These guys infuriate me. They don’t know the...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

I ordered some bourbon from a private owned store in Vancouver and got it within two days. I like British Columbia's liquor sales model. You got both goverment owned liquor stores and private owned liquor stores. If you want a bottle delivered, you got lots of choice. And they take back...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

The LCBO is now being sued by some of the largest alcohol producers...Saying they're using their market dominance and unfairly charging suppliers, forcing producers to raise prices to an unreasonable amount. Monopolies do nothing but rip off consumers...

    Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 (nCoV-2019)

it seems we are in a bit of a summer surge. I was in Vancouver a couple weeks ago for a wedding. People got sick with COVID after the wedding. My boyfriend included. Thankfully it was mild for him. But one guest ended up in the hospital. I had a dinner party cancelled this weekend in...

How's the weather in your area?

I spent the last two weeks in Victoria on Vancouver Island. Even on days with 28 degree temperatures, Mother Nature's very own air conditioning kicked in and cooled the nights off. I never used the AC once! I left my balcony door open all night, they don't have bugs out there like we have...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

Another huge blow to the environment. Shame on Ford government !! I was in British Columbia recently, and asked at a deposit center where do all the plastic bottles go? They get sheared into pellets and sold to injection molding companies across Canada and re-used into other plastic...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

I was just in the Vancouver area. The deposit system there can be done cashless. Just drop your bag of mixed recyclables off at a recycling depot. ( cans, bottles, plastic bottles, jugs, and even milk cartons) and they will sort it and add the money to your account.. It's all...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

B.C has the best liquor sales model in Canada, provincial stores where you can get certain items and the private stores that specialize in things like wine or whiskey or beer. And way better selections than the LCBO. I usually find barren shelves for miles at the LCBO when i search for my...
