To echo everyone else's statements, Mayor Ford's own stubbornness is his biggest downfall. It seems that if 'he doesn't believe in' or 'it's not his opinion' then it's the "be all and end all of decisions". It's hilarious to hear him say these things, yet the residents of these nieghbourhoods...

I had to do a double take on this post.. :p It happens to be right where Caledonia station would be on Phase 1 of the LRT. The terminus for the Crosstown is Jane/Weston which is west of this site. :cool:

I would think it's because the west end is served by the University line along with the Bathurst and Spadina streetcars. The whole point of the "DRL" is to provide relief to the Yonge line in hope of siphoning riders off at Pape to go downtown. The relief to the Yonge line is needed much more...

Entirely true. Today on my way to work I saw the 165 Weston Road North bus that said it was going "to Steeles" -- it was going to Wilson Station and was already south of Steeles. :-P

What's the point of this though? The subway system isn't complex enough to warrant that kind of information. If you're on the Yonge line heading south to Union, you should know by now that the final destination is Downsview heading north. It's not like we have trains A through X going to...

Didn't know where to put this nor have I seen this posted anywhere on UT but Transit Toronto has pictures of a rough mock up (plywood and starboard) of the LRT cars. Upon first glance they are bigger and bulkier than the new streetcars. http://transit.toronto.on.ca/streetcar/4513.shtml

It is, but he kind of has a point. There are many-a-people who don't actually use the F150 for their actual worth -- they are the same people who have a pair of molded testicles hanging from the trailer hitch for some apparent reason.

Cautiously optimistic with this turn of events.. even Josh Matlow's tweet. Perhaps Toronto is finally buying into sound transit planning and a transit system for all of Toronto instead of a "downtown v. suburbs" battle.
