    Hamilton Gore Park Lofts | 22.8m | 6s | Scholar Properties | Thier + Curran

Starting to get a feel for how it will look when finished. I think it looks pretty smart. Pictures taken today:

    Hamilton KiWi Condos | 49m | 14s | Rosehaven | Kirkor

This has turned out rather nicely, at least in Hamilton project context. Photos taken today:
  3. Lachlan Holmes

    Hamilton 154 Main Street East | 81.75m | 26s | Vrancor Development | srm Architects

Apart from a few remaining bits, basically finished. (It will not be getting prettier.) Today:

    Toronto Social at Church + Dundas | 164.89m | 52s | Pemberton | RAW Design

Why on earth would you spec mid-height mullions on the two storeys between the podium and the balconies (and the ten or so storeys on the east elevation that don't have balconies), but not on the floors with balconies that would literally block them from view?

Toronto Maple House at Canary Landing | 89.61m | 26s | Dream | COBE Architects

Bird-friendly guidelines, they’ve been in effect for a few years now I believe.

    Hamilton Television City | ?m | 32s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Ask and ye shall receive. Image source: received an email from Lamb Dev with a link to the information portal on the Television City website Also, since there isn't a real estate forum post for this one linked (and the database link is broken, FYI mods), I'll leave these floorplate diagrams...

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Updated architectural plans were uploaded to the AIC on November 19th, 2021. No major changes in the design, but some noticeable changes when looking at fine details. Bringing some of the detailed elevation drawings forward:

    Toronto Panda Condominiums | 107.59m | 30s | Lifetime | Turner Fleischer

Seriously. It really drags down the whole thing down just before the finish line! I don't believe I have the architectural docs for this one saved anywhere, so I'll give Lifetime the benefit of the doubt as to whether pushing the window wall out on the top two floors was really necessary...

Toronto Blue Diamond Condos and Foxbar Towns at Imperial Village | 88.08m | 28s | Camrost-Felcorp | Diamond Schmitt

It's not high praise, I know, but... they do have a lot worse in their multi-res portfolio, but as you said they have a lot better as well. This strikes me as inoffensive at worst, at least if viewed from the clean, albeit boring, north, west, and east elevations. The south elevation is an...

Time and Space Condos (Pemberton) - Real Estate -

The top of the ‘square ring’ is north, so the south would be the bottom. On the level L9, for example, units 15 through 19 face directly south, and units 14 and 20 have side walls facing south. Keep in mind you’ll be looking directly into the courtyard between the two southerly buildings with...

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

That’s part of the podium, and I believe it is topped out.

    Hamilton Pier 8 Redevelopment | 147m | 45s | Cityzen | Omar Gandhi

Not quite. The reason this one may be able to surpass the escarpment height limit is because of a somewhat bizarre LPAT settlement to an appeal of the original Pier 8 redevelopment plan, which was midrise only. The height of the building here is intentionally at or below the height of Landmark...

    Toronto 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

I can’t think it’s an official advertisement considering the GO logo isn’t quite right — but I think it’s a cute little thing regardless and hope it’s permanent!

    Toronto 1910 Yonge | 177.49m | 53s | Davpart | Graziani + Corazza

After spending some time looking over the architectural plans, I have to say I find the renderings a fair bit deceiving. Here's why: First, they've chosen to render the window wall on the glass without any detail whatsoever (e.g. mullions, spandrel vs. vision panels, etc.) which while I...

    Toronto 1910 Yonge | 177.49m | 53s | Davpart | Graziani + Corazza

If the design prompt for the towers was someone at G+C asking “how can we smush two of the best looking midtown projects (E Condos and 150/155 Redpath) into a single development and end up with an utter affront to architecture and design?”, I think they nailed it. As for the podium… oh boy...

Toronto Ryerson University: Smart Campus Integration and Testing Hub | 10.54m | 3s | Ryerson University | Gow Hastings

Still no documents showing up for this on the AIC but I come bearing a rendering and information from WZMH Architects' Instagram page source

    Toronto YC Condos -- Yonge at College | 198.42m | 62s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

True enough, and I don’t have any issue with using concrete for sidewalks - but I don’t think it’s too much to ask that they include something to break up a large expanse of it. Whether that be some trees or trim or what have you.
  18. Lachlan Holmes

    Toronto YC Condos -- Yonge at College | 198.42m | 62s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Wow… so it’s going to go from absolute bargain basement temporary asphalt sidewalk to zero effort given concrete sidewalk with no design features or landscaping? My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. (Though I am not surprised in the slightest; and I appreciate @Northern Light...
