    Toronto St Lawrence Centre Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | CreateTO | Hariri Pontarini

The outdoor public plaza with a natural outdoor "theatre" strikes me as a particularly exciting element of this. $420 million isn't cheap though, I wonder where they will find the funds.

View from my rooftop this AM. The three of these are really going to create quite an impact of moving the core southwards from this angle.

Little sliver as viewed from my balcony today.

From my rooftop today. Really starting to make its presence known.

I agree. Between this and the site to the immediate east (90 queen st e?) I think this is going to create a bit of a domino effect of redevelopment in the area. 60 Queen East, The Saint, the new Moss park station etc and this area will be unrecognizable in 10 years. I really hope we just don't...

100% agree. The comment about just getting rid of O'Grady's so ridiculously tone deaf and highlights the ignorance that some people have on this thread towards development without and consideration for actual livability or cultural history of the neighbourhoods these buildings occupy.

    Toronto Ontario Line: Moss Park Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

I wonder if this will coincide with the revitalization of the actual Moss Park. As far as I remember, this is on the city's high priority list for revitalization and already had funds set aside for. I really hope this means they push it off until this is complete as that would be a 10+ year...

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

This might be a silly question but is the glass in the top arched portion actually clearer or does it simply look that way because the background is open to the sky as opposed to levels 2 - 4?

I think you might be in the minority 😅

    Toronto 464 Queen West Parkette | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I dont think one has to come at the cost of the other. The city is using an already existing parcel of land in the period of time before the park of developed. Smart of them to leverage this asset ro kill two birds with one stone. As for your relatively hyperbolic statement about “everything...

    Toronto 225 Queen East | 121.4m | 37s | Dash Developments | Arcadis

I wonder if they are accounting for portions of Moss park on the south end that would theoretically be reduced in place of the new Ontario line stop.

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

There is a park revitalization planned for beside the new building, referenced above (Market Lane Park). Also, during the spring/summer market lane itself usually has an abundance of beautiful planters bursting with flowers and greenery. It is a bit bleak during the winter though, sadly.

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Idk, try getting a table for four at any king west restaurant tonight (Friday) - they're all heavily booked. Anecdotally, people's spending habits seem to have returned (somewhat to normal) with respect to going out for f&b fun.

    Toronto Quayside | ?m | ?s | Dream

Wow, this (along with the Well) renews my hope in how the city is raising the bar for upcoming megaprojects. I hope this puts pressure on East Harbour to step up their game.

    Toronto 14 Duncan | 156.69m | 48s | Greenwin | BDP Quadrangle

Great! The building fits in seamlessly with the brick warehouse character of the area. I hope it is retained as much as possible in this development. This (small) area still has a pretty distinct visual character.

    Toronto The Whitfield | 130m | 39s | Menkes | Giannone Petricone

Liveability VS property value, really. If it's somewhere I'm actually living, I think things like regular sunlight matter more. Everyone's own preferences though.

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

I kind of feel like the Well is going to become a bit more of a "mainstream" destination frequented by a lot of people in Cityplace (at least just based on the tenants they're lining up). Waterworks on the other hand feels like it might be able to pull off selling itself as a 'cooler'...

Kind of remind me of what Hullmark did with 46-54 Ossington tbh. Let's hope for some interesting, varied retailers.
