At the meeting they said besides cost, a major factor when considering burying lines is response time for emergency repairs. In the present scenario, they can expect to detect issues and rectify them within 8 hours. Buried, it'll take much longer (48 hours I think?) because of difficult access...

It's a relic, an ambassador of an era in architecture. As much as I don't like how it looks, I think it should stay as is to maintain diversity in the city's building stock.

Thanks for posting this, I was able to attend. I think the plan is great overall, but the real decision makers (developers and city) were not available for comment. Unfortunately that leaves me with doubts that the development will be implemented as currently envisioned.

Oh.. wow.. I can't think of a single office building of this size that uses clear glass. Definitely not what I was picturing.
