Yep they got it right for the most part in terms of materials. The use of black spandrel and mullions really helped to hide the amount of spandrel being used and blends nicely with the curtain wall on the podium and north tower office portion. I even like the subtle splash of blue running...

Sorry to get of topic. Hey did anyone else notice that the above rendering has the second Infinity placed opposite the original? That would had made so much more sense allowing for clear views of the CBD and Lake for both towers. The actual configuration kills lake views for the original and CBD...

With the exception of the CN tower and the Flat Iron condo and Infinity east, none of the buildings in that photo existed 5 years ago. Simply amazing!

^+1 The tower needed refinement, but the redesign came out typical TO bland and boxy and is not an improvement. Granted the original design was a cheap knock off 1 Bloor but at least it had some pizzazz.

It may end up being greenish spandrel similar to what is being used at the Library District Condos at CP. The rendering at the top of the page appears to show a few different shades of green spandrel. I am hoping the glass is also tinted green, but I am not optimistic.

The 44 storey tower is going to have the same impact on the North York skyline that the Sheraton Wall Center had on Vancouver's back before the 4S was built. This one will look like a monster compared to the 100m towers that dominate this stretch of Yonge.

If this is legit, it looks like the balconies offset on the 6th floor above the podium. Could possibly be a stacked box design like exhibit?

Looking at that last picture, it is amazing how much of an impact Market Warf has from this vantage point. I looks like it is a 170m tower when viewed from the Distillery District/ Don Lands area.

Jets some great density is on its way! In addition, if the Massy tower goes ahead that will block out most of this close up view.

Agreed as well. Prior to the current building boom, the Toronto Star was a standout amongst the other brutalist/concrete buildings down here (and not in a good way). Incredible! Those cranes look like oil derricks in an Alberta oil field. Mind boggling the amount of construction that is happening. This area in particular will be such a great addition to the east end adding much needed density.

This one is looking better as it gets taller. Looks very tall in that last shot. Once occupied and the windows have white blinds, the white effect should be grealy enhanced like the renderings. A decent effort that might have been 10 stories taller had the city not chopped it down to the 157m...

^^^ Looks like they are using the observation deck height at 346 meters vs. the skypod at 446.5 meters. Its annoying when they can't get this stuff right!!
