It likely won't be there when we move in as the PDI guy refused to even consider what we were telling him- that it was explicitly stated in the contract. We'll likely have to deal with customer service, Tarion, or our lawyers.

Couldn't agree more. We had our PDI yesterday, and I have to say, it was pretty disappointing. I wish we could just back out and move on to something else, since who knows when/if they'll repair all the problems.

That's so disappointing. It seems like there are more problems than good things. Are they going to fix the crooked walls?? Everything else they should definitely fix, but I'm wondering if they tried sneaking their way out of having to fix the wall. I really hope they fix everything for you...

We also went yesterday, since we haven't had out PDI yet and wanted to see the building. Overall, it was nice... I wish the party room was bigger though! The rooftop terrace is superb, it will be nice in the summer.

Perhaps talking to property management can help? Maybe they have a way to keep an eye out and talk or fine whoever keeps doing it. It's not even just a matter of how it looks (though that is important- it's a brand new condo and if people can't appreciate it now, how will it be later on?!), but...

Yes, it can cut down significantly if you put down a lot! We'll likely be taking this option as well. I think we should be pretty comfortable in this situation, too. Did you have to do all this before your PDI? Or anytime before actual move in?

Do you happen to know how secure the money is when you choose this option? I had read some stuff online saying there's nothing to protect money should something happen to the company (though I doubt anything would happen to it from now until registration!).
