    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Whoa, I live right here and never even heard about this project (didn't get any consultation notices). I think it's a great project. Who complained? Makes no sense to me. It doesn't block any views whatsoever, and increases the public walkways, which is much needed due to the popularity of the...

    Toronto Reunion Crossing | ?m | 11s | Diamond Kilmer | Giannone Petricone

They used the same brick on the front as well, it's just not shown in the pictures, above, because it was not yet completed.

    Kitchener DTK Condos | ?m | 39s | IN8 Developments | srm Architects

I agree. While Waterloo is technically more dense, it does not feel like a city (except for uptown). I think the problem has less to do with the buildings, and more to do with the streetscapes. The roads are very wide, and the building setbacks with front lawns are huge. It feels like there's...

    Toronto Reunion Crossing | ?m | 11s | Diamond Kilmer | Giannone Petricone

I am very curious about what they are doing to the sides. The barcodes on the west and east side of the building were not in the original renders. Now, we see dots being added and part of the "barcode" removed. Interested to know what is going on here if anyone knows.

    Toronto St Clair-Old Weston GO Station | 9.13m | 1s | City of Toronto | Hatch

I agree. They should just make the terminal stop St. Clair-Old Weston, make it go underground and connect with the GO Station, then remove the tracks/stop after the GO Station. This would be the smartest appraoch.

    Toronto St Clair-Old Weston GO Station | 9.13m | 1s | City of Toronto | Hatch

No - I don't think it is possible under the bridge. So you would get off at stockyards and walk there. Not ideal, but not sure how else they could do it.

    Toronto St Clair-Old Weston GO Station | 9.13m | 1s | City of Toronto | Hatch

It does not, unfortunately. But they are going to provide accessible connections, I believe. It's a fairly quick walk.

    Toronto St Clair-Old Weston GO Station | 9.13m | 1s | City of Toronto | Hatch

I believe the plan is for this GO Line to be electrified and to provide two-way all-day service at 15 minute intervals, and possibly even more frequent within the city's limits, to try and provide subway-type service within the city. The trains will also operate faster. They have already started...

Reunion Crossing (Diamond Kilmer) - Real Estate -

Interesting! Do you mind providing details - i.e., is it your firm occupancy date or your firm closing date? If closing, when is your occupancy / when is your closing? What type of unit? All that I have, so far, is a Final Tentative Occupancy Date.

Reunion Crossing (Diamond Kilmer) - Real Estate -

Interim occupancy and closing can technically happen at the same time, although there is usually a few weeks or months between the two dates. I would be surprised if it takes very long in this case. I expect closing will be shortly after interim occupancy. Our interim occupancy is end of April...

That's never going to happen 😅. Just lock in a variable rate or short-term fixed rate. Short-term pain. Still not too bad, since I think the value of what was purchased in 2019 is still higher than the current market value for similar units.

Looks like they are installing a slew of Level 2 EV chargers right now in the parking garage: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/hypercharge-ev-charging-selected-toronto-133000574.html Anyone have any idea if these will be for all residents' use, or whether you need to pay to get one installed for...

    Toronto Reunion Crossing | ?m | 11s | Diamond Kilmer | Giannone Petricone

From today. Looks like: (a) The interiors on the lower floors of the condo done (I could see drywall done, pot lights in the bedroom, and mirrored closet doors). I noticed some people on the balcony across the street at Scout (which seems similar level of completion) - so I think some move-ins...

    Toronto Reunion Crossing | ?m | 11s | Diamond Kilmer | Giannone Petricone

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I actually think this is turning out nicely. The street-level bricking looks beautiful. I know the cheaper cladding used above is not as nice, but at least the building is architecturally interesting in its overall design. It's not a classic building, but I...

I am in the same position. Have a firm approval in hand (done again recently) and then will negotiate rates at closing.

Reunion Crossing (Diamond Kilmer) - Real Estate -

Our latest date was April/May (we are a townhome though). I suspect they will start with the lower floors of the condos once the interiors are finished. Honestly, I'm sort of hopeful that it takes a bit longer, so that we can have a bit more economic certainty when deciding between...

    Toronto 1613 St Clair West | 62.75m | 17s | Nova Ridge | SvN

I disagree strongly with this. St. Clair is a major street. Everything around the park should be densified considerably. The park is big...it's not going to shadow the park. Let's densify, and improve the area, and make it a home for more people!

It could just be for utilities, though. Seems odd that it would be a common rooftop, and the marketing wouldn't mention it.

    Toronto 611 Keele | 115.35m | 33s | Diamond Corp | a—A

I think this looks great. Unique design, much better than most being proposed in this area. Significantly better than a storage unit.

I have been hearing stories about Development Charges being exorbitant recently. I had understood that our development charges were capped (for townhomes at $12k), but reading the language of the contractual amendment, I am now not certain. I know we should have had a lawyer review, but here we...
