Toronto Luna at Concord CityPlace | 125.88m | 38s | Concord Adex | Core Architects

How is this being built so quickly? It seems like it went from zero to 30 storeys before some others even got their pit dug out. I guess it helps that Cityplace uses pretty much the same materials in all their buildings

Best Urban Planning Program in Canada

I did my undergrad at U of T in Urban Studies and Urban,Economic, and Social Geography. The Urban Studies program didn't really cover at all; it was just a lot of talking about governance and why cities are important and theoretical stuff. In response to jn_12, I think UBC actually has...

Best Urban Planning Program in Canada

I'm looking to apply for a graduate program in urban planning, and I was wondering if you guys know of heard of which ones are the best! As of right now, I am looking at U of T, Ryerson, McGill, Calgary. I prefer UBC over all of those, but they require 76+ in every course for the last two...

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

That's a good thing! Maybe this means that ads will finally cover up those bare grey walls above the patios on the west. And perhaps the advertising on top of the building that was first proposed will emerge on the south elevation.

    Toronto Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto | 207.86m | 53s | Graywood | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Yup. It's not very big though, I think the vast majority of the boards will just be solid blue.

    Toronto Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto | 207.86m | 53s | Graywood | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Sorry I don't have a picture, but I have visual confirmation that the blue boards will come together to make a Ritz Carlton logo.

    Toronto Hullmark Centre | 167.94m | 45s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

Is there still an empty lot at the northwest corner of Yonge and Sheppard?

    Toronto The Uptown Residences | ?m | 48s | Pemberton | Burka

Wow, I was just kidding a while back about this possibly surpassing the pace of One Bedford, but it looks like it might actually happen!

    Toronto 1540 Bloor West | 91.9m | 27s | Trinity Group | IBI Group

Have you guys seen the subway ads for this development? I was in a car which was monopolized by Giraffe ads, and the rendering on the main page of its website was featured. The giraffes look rather evil though.

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

Damn it. So when will Council make the final decision as to whether to transform the base into a commercial development or make it into this proposed plaza?

I feel like this is going to hit ground level before 1 Bedford, lol.

    Urban Outfitters (Queen West)

I wouldn't even mind if the new retailers setting up on Queen St. were more high-end and unique. It just bugs me that they're everything that I can find in the Eaton Centre.

    Urban Outfitters (Queen West)

I despise pretty much all of the new chain retailers that have set up on Queen St. between John and a bit west of Spadina. They are all encased in these generic metal and glass boxes that I find so commercial and wrong for the strip. Look at Mexx, Buffalo, H&M, Le Chateau...they are all...

Head of Slips (Waterfront Toronto, West 8/DTAH)

I think the benches are fine as they are surely going to be much more comfortable than sitting on the tiny little steps. As obvious as it sounds, benches have this power to order space and essentially say "SIT HERE". It's amazing what a psychological difference they make. The little public...

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

An ad saying "Milestones Four" has replaced the previous Sharp ad. I'm assuming it refers to the soon to open Milestones on the fourth floor.

    Toronto Murano | ?m | 45s | Lanterra | a—A

I can't wait for Murano to finish so that it can distract me from those ugly Residence of College Park towers.

The floorplans now show that Google and the Ontario Realty Corporation will be taking up office space in the building. How the windowless space that Google will be occupying jives with its efforts to make their employees' working quarters low-stress and lively, I don't know.

    Toronto Picasso Condos | 128.62m | 39s | Mattamy Homes | Teeple Architects

Love the design, but I'm not convinced the location is perfect as it sort of just juts out from behind Queen St.

Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Bell Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

I can't believe people are talking about the clarity of road lines when these beuatifully rendered buildings are before us. Sweet Jebus.
