Thanks to the two of you for the responses. Do either of you have recommendations for a lawyer or agent? I'm well aware that those are the most expensive locations in the city. We received prelim lease rates and I wasn't so much shocked by the absolute amount of rent (its a small space)...

Does anyone here have any experience with commercial leases? I'm specifically looking for resources that will help me to determine if the lease presented to me is "fair". I'm having a tough time tracking down quality info online. Please PM if you can recommend a particular company/service...

That sounds about right. 550 Wellington was supposed to be ready August 2008 and now it looks like I'll be in by March 2010.

As far as I know retail is still on for the Bathurst/Stewart corner but hasn't been announced. You can see the entrance there where the exterior elevator there. I remember there was a listing for that retail space on DTZ Barnicke but its long gone. I'm hoping for an alternative to that...

I walked by today and noticed that long abandonded and newly reno'd building on the north side of King between Tecumseth and Niagara was finally leased by Brad J Lamb. Anyone know whats going in there?

I still don't get why I am always last to get these letters. I live a block down the street from the sales centre! Too bad about the delay, but it was expected. I am sort of hoping my date gets pushed back into the spring now.
