Wow, great photos cruzin4u!! Yes, the cedar's lovely. We decided not to stain it a darker tone; the natural color is gorgeous by itself. We're going to start the cedar cladding on the Bayview elevation shortly and the zinc is in production, so stay tuned!

Asiancolossus: Glad you love the project! I will DM you with the sales/pricing details since this is the construction section of the forum. Yes, the maintenance fees are very low due to the freehold nature of these homes.

Thanks for the kind words, junctionist. Limestone is an interesting material within Linea since you don't immediately associate it with modern architecture. It has a real weight and permanence about it which I love. It also relates beautifully to the park across the street with its natural...

Hi cruzin4u, The cedar on the north facade (right hand side of 3rd your pic) was too knotty for our liking and is being replaced by a clear cedar. This is currently on site and is being oiled and stained. It is far more representative of the look we want. A mock-up on the east face will likely...

It's temporary to enable us to complete some interior work without major leaks. Will be installed properly before the rest of the cladding continues. Every aspect of construction gets inspected by the site super, project manager, then Teeple prior to continuation.

That's very kind of you. Really appreciate your interest in the project and you're welcome to come closer for any pictures you would like to take, as long as you're beyond the site fencing (safety first). I think the zinc cladding will be the sleeper hit of the exterior. The contrast with...

"Fake brick"?? It's limestone, sir. I invite you to come and feel the weight of these stones. Fake brick would be tacky and a disservice to this project. The limestone will begin wrapping across the Bayview facade, followed shortly by the zinc and cedar. Nice pics....thanks for following our...

    Toronto The College Condominium | 52.73m | 15s | Tribute | Core Architects

RE: 219 Bathurst I support the height, don't mind the lack of parking...but the architecture is the reason the DRP exists. & the 8' ceiling height is poor form. RE: 297 College Reminded me of a taller Garment Factory with a more animated podium. Interesting elements included a 4s green...

Toronto The Hive: Lofts on The Queensway | 21.03m | 6s | Symmetry | Teeple Architects

slickpete: The 545 sq.ft unit (plus a 72 sq.ft balcony) starts at $250,000. That's $458/sq.ft. The finishes are comparable (if not superior) to any pre-con development downtown, the architecture is utterly unique and there are just 20 units in the building. Comparable lofts in the core would...

    Toronto 8 Gladstone | ?m | 8s | Streetcar | TACT Architecture

I recall 8-20 Gladstone being pitched as a land assembly in early 2010. The entire lot was 151' x 120', at an asking price of $4.7 million. The seller was using the 2 gladstone planning report to forecast 100,000 buildable GFA. #8-10 was 45 x 120. #12 was 80' x 120' Given that the proposal is...

Looking for a pre-con condo, loft or townhome...suggestions?

Capturetheflag: I just emailed you preliminary pricing for units of the size you're seeking. About the maintenance fees at Motif, I'm not sure what they are so I can't comment. I really like what Motif has to offer in terms of finishes and location. My only criticism is that the kitchen is a...

Looking for a pre-con condo, loft or townhome...suggestions?

I sheepishly admit to not having noticed the "townhome" in the thread :) My wife and I have had the EXACT experience as you. We lived in various lofts for 3 years after getting married. Then moved to a rowhouse in Leslieville and had our first child. The zones suit us perfectly. I've used...
