    Toronto 45 The Esplanade | 130.85m | 39s | Republic | Arcadis

If executed with high quality materials and as rendered then I think this design is great (not excellent, but great) and would welcome it. But that's a big if.

    Toronto No. 31 Condos | 137.4m | 41s | Lanterra | Arquitectonica

Ah that's quite interesting! I know that one of them definitely defines short term this way (read the declaration myself) and was told the others did too. Seems interesting that they'd change it for similarly sized buildings in the same area (or maybe it was changed by the condo board).

    Toronto No. 31 Condos | 137.4m | 41s | Lanterra | Arquitectonica

You may well be right, I was under the impression this was the case but I haven't seen all Tridel building declarations so it's wrong of me to imply all Tridel buildings allow "short term" and define it as 30+ days (though my hunch is that a developer has a standard form declaration and uses...

    Toronto No. 31 Condos | 137.4m | 41s | Lanterra | Arquitectonica

In my experience: No visitor parking isn't unusual (and there's Green P parking nearby) You have to look at how "short term" is defined. Even Tridel buildings allow "short term" rentals, but it's defined as 30+ days (the problem with AirBnb is the weekend partiers, not the month-long guests)...

    Toronto Aquavista at Bayside | 46.94m | 13s | Tridel | Arquitectonica

Noticed in the retail leasing document for Bayside that the large retail space designed for a grocery store in this building is listed as "Unavailable". Wonder if they've leased it out to a grocer, presumably with the lease commencing once there's more density in the area? The leasing brochure...

Farm Boy expansion in the GTA

Was really hoping to see a Farm Boy in the retail space below Aquavista (which is meant for a grocery store, and a grocery store there would make a lovely waterfront spot). Hopefully this doesn't preclude that.

    Toronto Pier 27 Phase 3 | 149.95m | 45s | Cityzen | a—A

WT could redevelop the parking lot into a park tomorrow, but my understanding is that it's waiting on three things: Finalization of the QQE LRT plan (parking lot might be used as a temporary turnaround for streetcars) Redevelopment of the Yonge St Slip (which is interconnected with the above)...

    Toronto U of T: Schwartz Reisman Innovation Centre (Phase 1) | 64.8m | 13s | U of T | Weiss/Manfredi

I know this gets lots of praise here, but I still feel like this build is still under appreciated. Based on this western portion, and if the eastern portion of the building is built as designed, I feel like this will be an icon of Toronto for years to come.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Wow that first picture is epic. Thanks for posting! It also showcases the Shipping Channel well. While not really the focus of this project, I'm quite excited for the shoreline of that to be developed next - I love the width of it, could have a great "river district" feel to it.

    Toronto Aquabella at Bayside | 50.9m | 14s | Tridel | 3XN

The cottony maple scale has started to appear on the smaller, new trees out front of Aquabella - it's only one or two of these things on each tree, but it's started. Given it can apparently stunt tree growth based on the below, I hope Waterfront Toronto finally acts on this soon.

Toronto Atrium on Bay Expansion | 114m | 34s | KingSett Capital | Hariri Pontarini

Renderings barely show it, but it looks like there's a hefty cantilever on the south side. I quite like this.

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

The balcony pattern is already different from the brand new rendering.

Toronto Oak House at Canary Landing | 162.61m | 46s | Dream | Henning Larsen

    That is jaw-droppingly incredible.

    Toronto Pinnacle Lakeside | 158m | 49s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

My greatest fear is Concord buying this or any site along the waterfront.

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 2) | 299m | 90s | Menkes | a—A

I fail to understand why Menkes can't provide something with interesting balcony treatment (e.x. One Bloor East) at this location that will undoubtedly command a premium price from purchasers. The weird thing is that the front tower actually has uniquely shaped floorplates and seemingly curved...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Can someone spill the tea!? I have no idea what the importance of that plant is or its seeds

    Toronto Pinnacle Lakeside | 158m | 49s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Pretty incredible that this thing has barely broken ground. I remember it being in pre-con sales back in early 2018 (and it might've launched even earlier than that). Within that time, One Yonge Phase 1 and Sugar Wharf Phase 1 have launched and are almost topped out.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

My understanding is that Promontory Park North isn't funded, but that's intentional - the plan is to build it using section 37 funds from the developments that are built on Villiers Island. But they already created the design for it along with the rest of the funded part of the Lower Don plans...

    Toronto Market Wharf | 110.33m | 33s | Context Development | a—A

Agree street level needs a lot of work. For the longest time I walked by here and had no idea it was part of Market Wharf because it looked so shabby and uninspired. Filling it with tenants would be nice, but it needs more than that.
