    Toronto Grid Condos | 157.88m | 50s | CentreCourt | IBI Group

Im really liking this building. If the grid pattern was punched out more prominanly on the surface, this could be a very striking addition to our skyline. I'm not a fan of the puke green details though...it seems a bit gimmicky and dated. I dont mind the podium but I can understand how...

    Toronto O2 Toronto | 48.16m | 14s | Identity | P + S / IBI

Im liking this building...especially with the black cladding on the side which should frame it well. Too bad the podium wasnt completed in black brick.

    Toronto Eleven Superior | ?m | 9s | Davies Smith | RAW Design

Im liking the use of the light coloured brick on the upper portion of the building. Although it looks like stucco from a distance, Im glad to see the use of brick and minimal amounts of spandrel here. Now, can we just get rid of those awful overhead hydro wires?

    Vaughan The Met | 116.43m | 35s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

Damn, this looks awful. Just a hodge podge of too many elements on such a basic box. The podium - if you can even call it that- lacks any presence. The Expo City condos are far better looking

    Toronto TeaGarden Condos | 51.45m | 15s | Phantom | Kirkor

The building is bland and uninspiring but this is good infill for the area. The smartest thing they did was to save lot 10 for another development. Turning it into a park, as previously envisioned, doesn't make any sense or provide much for the area.

    Brampton Indigo Bay Condominiums | ?m | 26s | Preston | IBI Group

Does anyone have any updates on this? The website disappeared completely and the sales centre at the Bramalea City Centre is long gone. I drove by the property yesterday and there are two cranes on site. They are currently on the third floor of construction. Very interguing. I wonder if this...

479 Danforth Ave (@Logan, Symmetry Construction, 4s, Anna Voineskos Architects) COMPLETE

This thing looks awful in person. Has a slapstick suburban motel facade.

Toronto Haven On The Bluffs Condos | 38.71m | 10s | VHL Developments | Master Building

While the new exterior is nothing special, it is an improviement over the pervious rendering with those dated late 90's balconies and colour combinations. Let's just hope that the top portion of the new rendering isnt plain stucco. That would make the building look like one of those god...

    Toronto The Kip District | 120.44m | 40s | Concert | BDP Quadrangle

While I understand the issues with most condo towers today (poor quality, lack of space, overpriced etc) , this is an area where towers and mixed use developments should be encouraged because of the proximity to the subway and major arterial routes. Putting freehold townhomes would be an...

    Vaughan Expo City: Expo 1,2, & Nord | ?m | 38s | Cortel Group | AJT Architects

Totally agree. The renderings looked extremely outdated and tacky which is partly why this is a pleasant surprise. ;)

    Vaughan Expo City: Expo 1,2, & Nord | ?m | 38s | Cortel Group | AJT Architects

I was expecting typical condo crap but these are actually surprisingly elegent. The black detailing really contrasts well with the white "fins" which give the building a very curvaceous silhoutte from a distance. The podium with the retail is not bad but I am not sure how well retail will do on...

Toronto The Hive: Lofts on The Queensway | 21.03m | 6s | Symmetry | Teeple Architects

I really love what this building does for the Queensway. The Zinc metal siding looks amazing. The only part I dont really like is the blank unfinished concrete wall on bottom side of the building. I hope it doesnt stay that way. Perhaps some sort of finish will help tie everything in!

That's because there is a proposed 42 storey mixed used office/commercial/residential tower on the lands abutting Erin Mills Parkway

    Vaughan 77 Woodstream | 52.8m | 15s | 77 Woodstream Inc | KFA

Construction on this building is speeding along. The last time I drove by the intersection, there was no second building. A few months later, it seems nearly completed. Despite the architecture which can only be described as "meh", I think this building adds a lot to an otherwise bleak stretch...

Toronto The Hive: Lofts on The Queensway | 21.03m | 6s | Symmetry | Teeple Architects

I drove by the Hive today and it looks even better in person. The shape of this building adds so much character to this stretch of Queensway...and Im sure it will be a catalyst for more mid rise developments along this underrated area of Toronto. Visually, this building is on point...the...

    Queen/McVean, Brampton (Kirkor Architects, 19s + 14s + 6 x 8s + 3 x 1s)

This is a very prime area in Brampton because it has a direct connection (via Zum BRT)to the future Vaughan Metropolitan Centre subway station. It is very close to both the 427 and the 407 which makes it very attractive in terms of mobility. This is also the closest part of Brampton to Toronto...

Any construction updates on this one? I think this is a very interesting project and would like to see the progress. Thanks

    Toronto 1050 Sheppard West | 48.16m | 14s | Choice Properties | Wallman Architects

Looking at this initial rendering, I cant help wonder why no attempt was made to incorporate the existing subway entrance into the base of the building. I actually love the building and given its context in a unique intersection, I think it will make a great impact...However, I think the curved...

    Erin Mills Expansion & Cineplex Junxion | 14.75m | 1s | OPB | MMC Architecture

Thanks for the pics! From the initial renderings, the globe seemed promising but I think it will turn out lackluster. It'd be great if the clock tower could perhaps be reassembled somewhere else in Erin Mills as a monument. Maybe at a park or a public gathering space.

    Mississauga Pinnacle Grand Park 1 & 2 | 152.39m | 48s | Pinnacle | Turner Fleischer

I like the way this building meets the street corner. Although it isnt unique, it creates a nice urban realm. Lets hope the north side of Burnhamthorpe with all those awful single detached homes gets redeveloped accordingly to match the south side.
