Newmarket Upper Canada Mall Redevelopment | ?m | 20s | Oxford Properties | RAW Design

I think there is a way to integrate a mall into a pedestrianized area, like the various High Streets across the UK (the one I'm thinking of specifically is Uxbridge, in West London).

    There's a reason why "getting York'd" is a thing.

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Not really. Imgur was created as a response to frustrated Redditors (If you've been there awhile, you might remember the days of third-party image hosts where everything would load BUT the image itself). But Imgur has been distancing itself from Reddit lately as it seeks to forge its own...

    Toronto 315 Spadina | 46.29m | 13s | Podium | Montgomery Sisam

The Chinese translation could use a bit of work: "zoning" doesn't mean literally dividing the city into zones, and the translation of "keep Chinatown affordable" sounds weird.

Yes, sorry! I was thinking about Reddit, but even Reddit has its own image hosting nowadays.

    Vaughan Centre Bus Terminal

Maybe because Zum service in Vaughan is supposed to be temporary. The plan is to extend Viva Orange to Highway 50 and build a terminal there, so I assume Zum will be cut back to Highway 50 at that point and will no longer cut into Viva Orange's ridership.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

That's because Viva Purple runs through an area with the second-higest concentration of Chinese-Canadians in Canada (after Richmond, BC). And no, it's not a race thing, it's a matter of "if I wanted to go on a crowded bus every day, I wouldn't have left Hong Kong/China". They're the people who...

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

Yes but I argue that span of service is more important for both Viva and YRT. I would rather have a 20 or 30 (maybe even 40) minute frequency service that ends at 2am than a 10-minute frequency service that stops at 8:30pm. You can always plan around the schedule, but you're out of luck if you...

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

Probably because they don't want to give free naming rights to a commercial entity (although it would be nice if they paid for it). Also, is this separate from the Jane/Major Mack terminal? Cause it's quite a detour for the 20 to stop here.

York Region Transit: Viva service thread

I think the Viva rapidways were put in because they had to upgrade the utilities regardless to support all the condos being built/proposed on Highway 7 and Yonge. So it's a matter of "tear up the road to put in bigger pipes/cables, then restore it to its original condition" or "tear up the road...

The original 3-tower proposal probably looks better https://urbantoronto.ca/news/2014/08/connecting-dots-major-new-toronto-development Too bad they couldn't make it work.

    Vaughan TYSSE: Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station | ?m | ?s | TTC | Grimshaw

Probably because it's not really needed at this point. Only three routes will serve it on opening day, and I suspect the only reason why it's even being built was because SmartCentres offered to pay part of the costs.
