Honest question: In all of Doug's endless scrumming, do any reporters ever ask him questions about his own ward and his work as a councillor? As in, "Can you name one thing that you've done?"

In my mind, this is proof positive that he thinks he can ride this whole thing out and it will all blow over---think about that for a second.

I suspect that today marks the day the Fords finally internalized that it's really over and have now shifted into "last reel of Scarface" mode.

I would REALLY like to know what is up with this Stintz thing. The Fords have been getting sloppier by the minute, but they never seem to self-inflict a fatal wound. What if this were it, finally???

I don't know if they set it up but I would bet she called them before agreeing to it.

It's seriously blowing my mind that the Fords surely OKed her to do the interview on the condition that she delivered a puff piece about what a swell guy Rob was and how there was nothing fishy about their relationship... and this is the result.

They know the campaign's in trouble and they don't have much left to lose. No more leverage except their continuous media notoriety. It's gonna be all Hail Marys, all the time, from now on I bet. But desperation = sloppiness and they're just going to keep on with the self-inflicted wounds until...
