    Rob Ford's Toronto

I've been thinking the same thing this afternoon, watching this play out. Up until now, I have fully understood why the media feel that they have to follow him around 24/7, but this is ridiculous, after two months of relative calm at CH. They're just playing into this "Rob Ford as rockstar" bs...

Nice. Another case of "I've got mine, screw the rest of you."

    Rob Ford's Toronto

From all the pictures that have been available lately, and the locations, I sort of assumed that the story from the Ford camp would be that he did 30 days in-patient and 30 days out-patient. Not that I think that's a valid treatment for an addict - I don't. But I could see that being the story...

Yes, I'm in marketing, and courting a prospective client can take months or years. Regardless of result, the intent was still there. It was a definite conflict of interest situation.

Wow, this is...not good. I don't think legal would precede a C&D with a creepy-ass, vaguely threatening handwritten note at one's workplace.

Add me to the folks who have always had a bad feeling about this. And Anthony Smith. Have I mentioned how much I love you guys?

"I try not to be a nosy neighbour,” said McRobb's neighbour, Gladys Kravitz.

Using it as ID makes a lot more sense than her getting arrested for impaired with a gun in the Escalade, and the police leaving the gun in there to be taken to the impound so she could pick it up later -- thanks!

Yes! We noticed that, as well. I'm fairly certain that if that second woman who was with her hadn't been there, she probably would have told a lot more than she did.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

In the first video, when she was walking out of the building with the guy, I thought I heard her say "I have my FAC" [Firearms Acquisition Certificate]. Did anyone else hear that? If so, yes, she is exactly the kind of person who should have the ability to purchase and own guns. Also, why would...

A link to the actual policy - I had trouble finding this, it seems that several of the links from the front page are broken. http://www1.toronto.ca/wps/portal/contentonly?vgnextoid=10444b3bf2a50410VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD&vgnextchannel=1d7ae03bb8d1e310VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD&vgnextfmt=default...

Have any other candidates spoken out against this, yet?

    Rob Ford's Toronto

I got something very similar, but it also mentioned things that were specific to the email I sent, so they're not just sending out form letters, they're taking the time to specifically reply, which is great. On the Saturday night of a long weekend!

That's not surprising. Like I said, I think it's mostly a perception - a way of making sense of things, even if they are wrong.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Like many others have mentioned, I've always had this perception that Rob was a big, dumb oaf, not fit for public office (I didn't know he'd be allowed out of the house), and that Doug is pure evil. Um...yeah.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

I'm so happy to hear of all the positive attention this has gotten. Although I'm not working in the field currently, my background is in clinical psych, and the lack of understanding in the general public is bad enough, but when it comes to an elected official espousing these kinds of...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

The gist of my email was "how damaging were the many emergency vehicles parked outside of your brother's house due to the many 911 calls over the past several years?" I also offered the polite suggestion that they step out of politics and let the grown ups repair the damage they've caused.
