    Toronto's Craft Brew Beer Bars?

I noticed that too back on the July long weekend at Rebel House. The brew was a little darker in colour and didn't have the usual taste for the first half of the glass. The brewer did warn about differences when he announced the brewery switch and it may take some time to iron out.

    Toronto's Craft Brew Beer Bars?

Fabulous brew! I've met the brewer several times. Great guy. Try his Dunkel. The beer isn't brewed out in Oakville at Black Oak anymore. The beer is actually now brewed out at the Cool Brewing plant in Brampton or Etobicoke (ratebeer.com says the former and the Cool Beer web site says the...

Sure, but not to those buildings... ;)

Given those comparisons, I'd have to say I agree with the Pugs. I don't see what the appeal of Spire and MoZo are. I find both to be rather unpleasing, cold and lacking in any personality. Same goes for that thing out in the Distillery District after it gets above street level. And of course my...

True, McDonalds is proof of that.

No, they (building B people) say that those building A people are idiots. :p

That's more pleasing to my eye compared to the jarring condo render here though I wouldn't say it would make any top-whatever list of buildings I like. At least it's not an all-glass office-tower-wannabe. :p

You assume a great deal. I've lived in the King & Spadina neighbourhood for the past two years, lived near Yonge & Eglinton for eleven years prior to that and spent my first 20 years in Scarborough. Prior to living down here I would frequently come downtown to do whatever. I've worked...

Ugh, what a gawd awful ugly sight of a building too. Such a mess. I'm all for getting away from ugly & boring all-glass "office tower look-a-like" condos like CityPlace but not if they're monstrosities like these two places.

Points for doing something different but, granted this is only based on that single mockup drawing, I think that building looks ugly.

    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

I got a call back from someone at the LCBO. The call was a little disjointed due to a repeated other caller to my cell which caused the audio to drop but I think I got everything (plus I was busy with work stuff, excellent timing as usual... the story of my life ) - the LCBO store...

If the space was bigger so the spots wouldn't impact store size, I'd be on board. I've done the ol' haul booze by hand and cart thing before and it is nice to be able to do it by car sometimes.

    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

After finally visiting the Liberty Village LCBO last night, I'm hoping, HOPING, that the K&S LCBO will be multiple floors and that the LV store not be the model for the K&S store. There's just so many people living around K&S that it would be a great opportunity to have a flagship downtown LCBO...

    Toronto's Craft Brew Beer Bars?

Here's some more: Smokeless Joe (John St between Adelaide & Richmond) Castro's Lounge (Beaches) Rhino (Parkdale) Rebel House (Summerhill) Granite Brewpub (Mt Pleasant & Eglinton) Mill St. Brewpub (Distillery District)

    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

I will defend the Dundas & Spadina LCBO location a bit as it usually carries the seasonal beer selections and many new beer general listings. I was surprised considering it's such a small location. That being said, I still prefer going to the Queen's Quay LCBO. A multi-storey building would...

I've been wondering what was going on that corner once I saw that Budget cleared out of there. An LCBO there would be great! :D I do hope that it'll be more than one storey, not due to density issues, but because I want the store to have lots of product. Also hopefully the place gets a...

    New rides at Wonderland

*sigh* I'm not saying I want a carbon copy of Mean Streak. I'm saying I want a more modern wooden coaster that's taller, faster and longer than what's currently at Wonderland. The Mine Buster and Wild Beast are approaching 30 years old. I used Mean Streak as an example since it's the newest and...

    New rides at Wonderland

My idea is to initially kill Wild Beast, start another wooden coaster build in scope to Mean Streak at Cedar Point (or better, that's the biggest wooden coaster I've been on) and then once complete kill Mine Buster. Voila! The New and Improved Great Canadian Mine Buster. :D

    New rides at Wonderland

So I went to CW on Sunday. It was a Scotia Bank family & friends event so the park wasn't at full capacity. I think it wasn't even at half capacity. No complaints of course from me. :D I got to ride Behemoth six times. The lineups weren't at all that bad, in fact they were very good. From the...

    TTC April 2008 Strike Thread

And who's going to pay for that better deal? The public via raised municipal taxes, provincial handouts (from our taxes), fare increases and service cuts. The public taxpayers purse isn't a bottomless black hole of funds. Have you finished school and moved out of your mom's basement yet?
