I just confirmed with LCBO they are indeed opening a location here. It can't be more than three months since I wrote to them as to any expansion plans at Yonge and Sheppard and they responded with a definite no. Today they told me the decision was made based on their collection of postal codes...

I'm surprised at the mention of an LCBO store. Is that confirmed? I wrote to them a few months back and they said they had no plans to open a store in this area.

Well, McDonalds, real estate office or whatever - it's now been totally demolished.

You are correct, it was a temporary real estate office, but you could still very much recognize it as an old McDonald's. Sorry for the confusion.

There is fencing all around the site now and heavy equipment beside the old McdDonald's building. I think they are starting the project.

My bad! I did not know about the new larger Dollarmara at Princess Mall. I guess we are all "cash poor" after all.

I face this site (2 Forest Laneway). Today I noticed that they had surveyors there around the parking lot and there are several red stake markers as well as red paint marks. Office says construction to being in February.

Just passed the site today. It's newly fenced off and there is a sign stating that there is to be a new meeting (no date set yet) to discuss a transfer of property to the site and also the demolition of 4 apartments (presumably the ones above the remaining stores) and the subsequent relocation...

There is lot of speculation by residents that the cinemas are going to close. Anyone have any information?

I assume that the apartment towers at 2, 4 and 6 Forest Laneway are unaffected since they have a different owner.
