How would you change Ontario's high school curriculum?

Trades are all well and good, but I was still really sad to hear that my high school scrapped music for cosmetology. What was once a nice music room is now a beauty salon.

Speculating about a new start at 1 Bloor East

And we can't even maintain the squares we already have. If there's money to be invested in squares, let's make the existing ones great. That would be money BETTER spent. Otherwise we'll just end up with a handful of embarrassing to mediocre spaces.

I don't take my glassed with me, how can I go through the G1 eye test?

Actually you can get even cheaper glasses online. I have a pretty high prescription (-9.00) and usually my glasses run about $350, but just a few weeks ago I got a pair for $50 online. If your prescription is lighter, you can get them as cheap as $30. I've been quite happy with mine.

I don't understand why they even bother anymore. If they can't manage to keep them in good working order, they should just rip them out and put in stairs.

    Transit City Plan

Does the Presto card have to make actual contact with the card reader to be recognized? Or can you just wave it in the general direction of the reader? At school we had these passcards to unlock doors, and they'd work even if they were still inside your bag/wallet/pockets.

    Tim Horton's in Times Square

It's not the greatest coffee, but it's certainly crack-tastic. Their lunch menu is decent and cheap. I don't think there'll be much of a problem.

    The world's most liveable cities—Toronto #15, Vancouver #4

It may be that only the more well-off are better able to organize and communicate their concerns. The actual poor don't have a voice, because they don't have the time/energy/connections to draw upon to mount any sort of protest. Or maybe they just don't know how to go about it, or realize that...

Best Skyline Other Than Toronto In Canada

Mississauga skyline Not to say that it can compete with the other cities on this list, but someone MUST have a better picture of Mississauga's skyline than the one posted above. That one really doesn't show it at all.

    Unions!

I once worked in a government office, and the amount of slacking there was just legendary. There was one guy who would always walk in at least an hour late, and he'd spend most of the day with his feet up on the desk and the daily crossword in hand. If it wasn't the crossword, it was...
