The Urbanspoon ones, especially so. Each 'reviewer' has only the one review and the accounts are all new as of the last 2 weeks.

Moss Park / Queen & Sherbourne

I'm with the comments above. I work downtown and walk home along queen, past jarvis, sherbourne & parliament, towards the bridge. About 10 years ago I had a job in Vancouver where i would walk home through the downtown eastside at night and i get a lot of the same vibe here... you're just...

Aw, that's a shame. Unless it's actually called "Tim Hortans" and it's a play, in which case it's probably quickly going to become my favourite coffee shop.

Interesting... i grew concerned when their signs suggesting a May 20th opening came down the other week.

That's a shame. The area seems to be pretty thin on LCBOs. What's the closest one around, Gerrard & Pape?

I have almost that exact same view from 2Q. I'm kicking myself for not having started a 'picture a day' project about six months ago.

On my way home yesterday I noticed that the curtains were drawn and the doors were open at Black Irish.

I was wondering the exact same thing this afternoon. I peered inside and it didn't seem any different (from what I could see) than it has over the last few weeks. Tables still a bit astray, construction material. I sort of had it in my mind that they'd be open around St. Paddy's day. Sure looked...

Same with Que, now Atelier Bistro. Atelier hasn't been open for well over a week now, and it took over in the winter for Que which was barely open at all. Maybe it's just because I walk that route all the time, but it seems like there's been a few exceptional blunders in that area lately.

Well so much for Il Panettone. I swear I was getting to the point where I was starting to think it was a front. While it seems as if rent was an issue, I can't imagine that having their neon lights / the spotlight with their name on it, going all night every night helped their cause.

The 3 starbuckses that are closest to that area are almost equidistant one from the other. (Queen & Logan, Parliament & Carlton, Front & Frederick). I don't have any doubt that a Starbucks would clean up there, especially given a) river city, and b) the fact that it's the front door to corktown...

Awesome- i really hope they do well. It wouldn't hurt the area to have that corner be a little more lively. Well, a different kind of lively. I've also noticed Il Pannettone, though I swear it's been under construction since at least the summer. Hopefully they're juts taking their time, because...
