    Toronto/Chicago comparisons

Yep. Toronto is edgier, hipper, better dressed, more cosmopolitan and quirky than Chicago or Boston by far. The people are better looking, more open minded and exposed to outside influences. It's just a much more interesting and dynamic city. It's a truly worldly city in a way that Chicago...

    Toronto/Chicago comparisons

^ New York is 3 times the size of Toronto, not 4 or 5, and I think he was only referring to urban vibrancy, street scene and the like.

    Toronto/Chicago comparisons

Not only harsh, but pretty ignorant. Does he honestly think that there are no songs about Toronto or movies set in Toronto? No buildings worth a second glance?

    Toronto/Chicago comparisons

^ Yeah, for the life of me I don't get for one second why so many people seem to think that Chicago has Toronto beat in terms of vibrancy, street scene and urban bustle. IMO it's no contest, Toronto blows Chicago away in that regard.

    Supertall and near-Supertall Rumour/Speculation Thread

If you look at First Canadian Place right beside the Shard, it's pretty clear that FCP is really the taller skyscraper between the two, despite what the official numbers say.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

That's just your opinion, it's not a fact. I disagree with such old, tired notions that continue to undermine this city and everything it has brought to the world.

Is Toronto's Building Boom Going Too Far?

^ Seriously? I've never met a woman who cared one bit about skyscrapers. If there's no gender divide, then why don't any women post on these and other similar forums?

    Greater Toronto Nodes

Yes, it does. People have been referring to Yonge and Eglinton as midtown (or sometimes uptown) for as long as I can remember. Just because the area doesn't meet your personal density requirements to be deemed as such doesn't mean that Toronto doesn't have an area worthy of the name. That area...

    Is Toronto Beautiful?

Chicago would be lucky to have something like Queen West, as it doesn't really have a comparatively lively and funky street. Chicago doesn't really have any truly eclectic, bohemian areas on the scale that Toronto does, or even an equivalent to Yonge street with it's crazy mix of stores...

    Supertall and near-Supertall Rumour/Speculation Thread

^ Well, hopefully in the not too distant future the two Oxford supertalls will be rising on the skyline, and between now and then it's quite possible that other supertalls will be proposed in Toronto.
