Interesting. When they had built the temporary daycare area, it was the saddest thing - kids playing in a cage, surrounding by the mess and noise of an active construction site.

Not sure what they're doing exactly. The floor plan for the post-renovation mall isn't totally clear on what will be built there, if anything. It's still more or less the same surface as when they tore down the cinema.

I can see the light strip (and flashing light) clearly all the way from North York, which is quite impressive. I would take a photo but I don't have a proper camera for it.

I live on the Yonge "strip" and don't own a car but rather use a car sharing service for the odd time that I do need to drive somewhere off the TTC grid. I walk and take the subway everywhere. The key is to buy groceries like produce downtown on the way home from work, and then buy the everyday...
