FWIW, no rookie party leader has won an Ontario election since 1985 (when all three leaders were rookies). Omit 1985, and you have to go back to 1971 to see a rookie victory. You might say it takes Ontarians a while to warm up to someone.

IIRC that pipe was put in fairly recently. I remember thinking it seemed odd that they were suddenly digging this fairly large trench, right up next to the building, so late in the game. I suspect there was a late realization (or perhaps inspection result) that needed a quick correction.

I must now sheepishly announce that the temporary wall has gone back up (a bit nicer looking now), so the staircase to next door is once again concealed. You'll be able to spot the fairly conspicuous blank wall, though, if you're passing through there - right next to the bedding shop.

Walking north on Yonge from Gerrard, turn left on to a small path immediately north of the Aura construction site. After a few metres there will be an entrance to College Park on your right. Go in there, through the revolving doors, and the staircase will be pretty much immediately on your left.

On the third floor, facing south (Gerrard), there's now a "Marshalls - coming soon" sign. Also, the Bed Bath & Beyond signs that were on the second floor facing Yonge are now gone. Not sure we should read anything into that, though - they were doing work in that area recently.

A staff member at the Presentation Centre today told me that it was over 75% sold.
