^ Woo hoo. 7 years later after this announcement we finally have some scaffolding LOL. Towers should be topped out by the time Im in retirement.

^ Couldn't agree more . I remember being a part of this (and other) sites back in 2008-2012 time frame and I remember how excited everyone was when it was confirmed we were getting Bay Adelaide West (218m) , the tallest office tower to be built in the city since the early 90s. Then we had One...

    Toronto The HUB | 258.46m | 59s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

The HUB is now 846ft in height, the nearby condo towers are: ICE 1= 664ft ICE 2= 768ft Harbour Plaza 1= 748ft Harbour Plaza 2= 776ft Ten York= 734ft CIBC Square 1= 780ft CIBC Square 2= 790ft So to be fair, the HUB is still 56ft+ taller than the highest tower nearby. In a perfect world another...

So it shrinks yet again! Now down to 258m, still a solid height. But in this rendition they chopped another 50ft off. Too bad :( It doesn't matter anyway as they have no tenants, could be many years before its built if at all. All fantasy land in the same boat as Union Centre and CC3.

^ Ah okay , well we will have to wait and see what the final height will be. I'll personally be happy if the end product is over 260m (without the rods) , as that would be a tall tower and still make a big statement on the skyline.

It hasn't been 300m for a LONG time, when they last reported earlier this year wasn't it 274m? That's like 900ft tall. Still decent in my mind. Has it since dropped shorter again? Where did the new pic come from?

Is this a new render? The right photo appears slightly shorter.

When the downtown office vacancy rates are still at 2.5% , never say never. Although with TD Bank taking 160 Front, Scotiabank at Bay Adelaide N, CIBC with their towers. BMO doesn't need anything I've been told, and RBC has built Waterpark Place and RBC Centre in the past 10 years. So I doubt...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

I just looked at the render, the crown is exactly 5 stories. So no 5 stories in an office tower is not 30 feet, more like 60-70ft.

Even still, that crown will add a surprise 70ft+ of extra height that will only add to the final product.

Hindsight is 20/20. They probably could have stuck with the original heights, maybe 300m was too risky for them at the time. I think they could have easily gone with 275-280m though with very little risk. Given that tower 1 is 100% leased and tower 2 is already 80% leased (or maybe its full now...

I finally got to see some of the progress in person. I was downtown last night at a concert and noticed how beastly this tower is. It's really making its presence in the skyline already. It makes me even more excited to see it all cladded and topped out (structurally I know its already topped...

That's a pretty big hole, this tower I think is either going to turn out great, or not so good lol. Im curious how these big gaping holes will end up looking in reality. Im keeping an open mind.

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Lets see how fast this thing sells. If they managed to sell enough units in that generic boring first phase, I see no reason why they can't sell this one. It's visually much nicer, and as a buyer I would want bragging rights saying I own a unit in a tower like this haha.

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

That's epic! Such a modern looking tower. It's going into sales next week, should be interesting to see how it sells.

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

The structure has been topped off, however I believe it will still go a bit higher once they add the crown on?

One thing I love about office towers......they move FAST. Always seem to be on schedule.

Yes makes sense, I didn't know if the podium was the one under the tower or not. I am guessing it has no impact on final height.

Well the podium is connected to the tower , so if the podium gets taller so too does the tower .... and the mechanical penthouse is also proposed to be taller. I was just curious if this impacts the final height of the building at all
